Abstract

The present disclosure is directed to press-on aquarium fingernails having interchangeable tips. The press-on aquarium fingernails have a top half (or tip) and a bottom half (or base) where the top half (or tip) includes a cavity formed solely within, while the bottom half has a cork that is received in an opening of the cavity of the top half sealing the top half. According to some aspects, a volume of fluid may be disposed in the cavity, and one or more decorative elements may be suspended in the fluid so as to be visible through the top half of the press-on aquarium fingernail. The one or more decorative elements may be an opaque decorative element. The cork seals the cavity preventing the inserted matter from escaping.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . An artificial fingernail having interchangeable tips for attachment to a natural nail, comprising:
a base for attachment to the natural nail, comprising:
an attachment portion having a curved bottom surface for attached to the natural nail; and
a tongue member integrally connected to, and extending outwardly from, the attachment portion; and
an interchangeable tip for detachably connecting to the base, the interchangeable tip comprising:
 a curved lower surface; and
a curved upper surface defining a cavity; and
wherein the tongue member of the base is configured to be received within the cavity of the interchangeable tip sealing the cavity.

2 . The artificial fingernail of claim 1 , where the attachment portion and the tongue member are located within a same horizontal plane.

3 . The artificial fingernail of claim 1 , wherein a liquid is inserted into the cavity.

4 . The artificial fingernail of claim 3 , wherein one or more objects are injected into the liquid in the cavity and suspended in the liquid so as to be visible through the interchangeable tip.

5 . The artificial fingernail of claim 4 , wherein the one or more objects are selected from glitter, beads, and bubbles.

6 . The artificial fingernail of claim 1 , wherein the base is configured to be attached to the natural nail such that the cavity of the interchangeable tip extends entirely beyond a terminating edge of the natural nail in a substantially coextensive relationship relative to the natural nail.

7 . The artificial fingernail of claim 1 , wherein the base is configured to be attached to the natural nail such that the cavity of the interchangeable tip extends over the natural nail and beyond a terminating edge of the natural nail in a substantially coextensive relationship relative to the natural nail.

8 . The artificial fingernail of claim 1 , wherein the base is configured to be attached to the natural nail such that the cavity of the interchangeable tip extends only over the natural nail in a substantially coextensive relationship relative to the natural nail.

9 . The artificial fingernail of claim 1 , wherein the base is configured to be attached to the natural nail such that the base abuts and extends forwardly from a cuticle of the natural nail.

10 . The artificial fingernail of claim 1 , wherein the base is configured to be attached to the natural nail such that a space exists between the base and a cuticle of the natural nail.

11 . An artificial fingernail having interchangeable tips for attachment to a natural nail, comprising:
a base for attachment to the natural nail, comprising:
 a curved lower surface; and
 a curved upper surface defining a cavity;
an interchangeable tip for detachably connecting to the base, the interchangeable tip comprising:
an attachment portion having a curved bottom surface for attached to the natural nail; and
a tongue member integrally connected to, and extending outwardly from, the attachment portion; and
wherein the tongue member of the interchangeable tip is configured to be received within the cavity of the base sealing the cavity.

12 . The artificial fingernail of claim 11 , where the attachment portion and the tongue member are located within a same horizontal plane.

13 . The artificial fingernail of claim 11 , wherein a liquid is inserted into the cavity.

14 . The artificial fingernail of claim 13 , wherein one or more objects are injected into the liquid in the cavity and suspended in the liquid so as to be visible through the interchangeable tip.

15 . The artificial fingernail of claim 14 , wherein the one or more objects are selected from glitter, beads, and bubbles.

16 . The artificial fingernail of claim 11 , wherein the base is configured to be attached to the natural nail such that the base abuts and extends forwardly from a cuticle of the natural nail.

17 . The artificial fingernail of claim 11 , wherein the base is configured to be attached to the natural nail such that a space exists between the base and a cuticle of the natural nail.
