Abstract
The present disclosure relates to an aerosol delivery system e.g. a smoking substitute system. In particular, it relates to an aerosol generating system comprising a vaporiser, an air flow sensor configured to detect a user inhalation through the system, and a controller, wherein the controller is configured to activate the vaporiser only when the duration of the user inhalation exceeds a predefined duration threshold.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . An aerosol generating system comprising a vaporiser, an air flow sensor configured to detect a user inhalation through the system, and a controller, wherein the controller is configured to activate the vaporiser only when the duration of the user inhalation exceeds a predefined duration threshold.
. An aerosol generating system according to claim 1 further comprising a clock or timer configured for measuring the duration of the user inhalation.
. An aerosol generating system according to claim 1 wherein the predefined duration threshold that the user inhalation must meet or exceed is greater than or equal to 2 seconds.
. An aerosol generating system according to claim 1 further configured only to activate the vaporiser when a detected further user inhalation parameter exceeds a predefined further inhalation parameter threshold.
. An aerosol generating system according to claim 4 wherein further user inhalation parameter is selected from one or more of: a pressure force of the user inhalation; a pressure differential/drop of the user inhalation; and a mass flow volume of the user inhalation.
. An aerosol generating system according to claim 1 wherein the user inhalation is a first user inhalation detected by the air flow sensor and the controller is configured to activate the vaporiser only when the duration of a first user inhalation exceeds the predefined duration threshold.
. An aerosol generating system according to claim 1 comprising a device for receiving a component for containing an aerosol precursor.
. An aerosol generating system according to claim 7 further comprising the component for containing an aerosol precursor.
- 13 . (canceled)
. An aerosol generating system according to claim 2 wherein the predefined duration threshold that the user inhalation must meet or exceed is greater than or equal to 2 seconds.
. An aerosol generating system according to claim 2 further configured only to activate the vaporiser when a detected further user inhalation parameter exceeds a predefined further inhalation parameter threshold.
. An aerosol generating system according to claim 3 further configured only to activate the vaporiser when a detected further user inhalation parameter exceeds a predefined further inhalation parameter threshold.
. An aerosol generating system according to claim 14 further configured only to activate the vaporiser when a detected further user inhalation parameter exceeds a predefined further inhalation parameter threshold
. An aerosol generating system according to claim 15 wherein further user inhalation parameter is selected from one or more of: a pressure force of the user inhalation; a pressure differential/drop of the user inhalation; and a mass flow volume of the user inhalation.
. An aerosol generating system according to claim 16 wherein further user inhalation parameter is selected from one or more of: a pressure force of the user inhalation; a pressure differential/drop of the user inhalation; and a mass flow volume of the user inhalation.
. An aerosol generating system according to claim 17 wherein further user inhalation parameter is selected from one or more of: a pressure force of the user inhalation; a pressure differential/drop of the user inhalation; and a mass flow volume of the user inhalation.
. An aerosol generating system according to claim 2 wherein the user inhalation is a first user inhalation detected by the air flow sensor and the controller is configured to activate the vaporiser only when the duration of a first user inhalation exceeds the predefined duration threshold.
. An aerosol generating system according to claim 3 wherein the user inhalation is a first user inhalation detected by the air flow sensor and the controller is configured to activate the vaporiser only when the duration of a first user inhalation exceeds the predefined duration threshold.
. An aerosol generating system according to claim 14 wherein the user inhalation is a first user inhalation detected by the air flow sensor and the controller is configured to activate the vaporiser only when the duration of a first user inhalation exceeds the predefined duration threshold.
. An aerosol generating system according to claim 4 wherein the user inhalation is a first user inhalation detected by the air flow sensor and the controller is configured to activate the vaporiser only when the duration of a first user inhalation exceeds the predefined duration threshold.
. An aerosol generating system according to claim 15 wherein the user inhalation is a first user inhalation detected by the air flow sensor and the controller is configured to activate the vaporiser only when the duration of a first user inhalation exceeds the predefined duration threshold.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
