Abstract

Silicone sheath drip covers are innovative accessories designed for use in drip pans to effectively capture overboils and spills during cooking or boiling on stovetops. These covers enclose the drip pan, providing a barrier that prevents liquids from overflowing and dripping onto the stove surface, thereby maintaining cleanliness and preventing potential hazards. Made from durable silicone, these covers are noted for their ease of cleaning and reusability, offering a sustainable solution to kitchen maintenance. They adhere seamlessly to the contours of a drip pan, which often includes an opening for the heating element, ensuring a snug fit and optimal coverage. Some designs feature indentations in the silicone that facilitates easy placement around the heating coil, enhancing user convenience. Available in various diameters tailored to fit different stove brands and models, they cater to diverse consumer needs for stove-top cleanliness and convenience.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 - 17 . (canceled)

18 . A silicone sheath for an electric stove drip pan, comprising:
a flexible silicone body configured to fit over a stove drip pan; an outer edge that grips the top perimeter of the drip pan; and a bottom enclosure mechanism comprising additional silicone material that expands into the bottom hole of the drip pan to capture and contain liquids.

19 . The silicone sheath of claim 18 , wherein the flexible silicone body forms a seamless barrier inside the drip pan, preventing spills and cooking residues from reaching the drip pan surface.

20 . The silicone sheath of claim 18 , further comprising an opening aligned with a heating coil element of the stove, allowing the heating coil element to function without obstruction.

21 . The silicone sheath of claim 18 , wherein the bottom enclosure mechanism expands and contracts to accommodate different sizes and configurations of drip pans.

22 . The silicone sheath of claim 18 , wherein the silicone material is heat-resistant up to a specific temperature, maintaining structural integrity during cooking.

23 . The silicone sheath of claim 18 , wherein the bottom enclosure mechanism comprises a balloon-like structure that expands to create a reservoir for captured liquids.

24 . The silicone sheath of claim 18 , wherein the outer edge includes gripping elements or ridges for enhanced stability on the drip pan.

25 . The silicone sheath of claim 18 , wherein the opening for the heating coil element is reinforced to withstand repeated heating and cooling cycles.

26 . The silicone sheath of claim 18 , wherein the silicone material is FDA-approved for food contact.

27 . A method of protecting electric stove drip pans using a silicone sheath, comprising:
placing the silicone sheath over the drip pan; allowing the silicone sheath to securely grip the drip pan; capturing and containing spills and cooking residues with the bottom enclosure mechanism; and removing the silicone sheath for cleaning and reusing it without the need for harsh chemicals.

28 . The method of claim 27 , wherein cleaning the silicone sheath comprises washing it with soap and water.
