Abstract

The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a very simple solution for homeowners to be water efficient. The present invention involves a pre-rinse pre-wash unit assembled with readily available items in the market and using it to highly efficiently reduce water consumption for pre-rinse and pre-wash without making any changes to existing systems or buying a net new appliance. The present invention, while primarily being suggested for use by homeowners can easily be used by restaurant owners as well as in other similar applications. The present invention is a closed-end loop however it gives the owner full transparency into the quality of water being used in the pre-rinse, pre-wash, and the opportunity to use a fresh set of water if so desired. The present invention also allows the pre-rinse and pre-wash of large dishes that do not go into the dishwasher reusing the same water.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A highly water efficient pre-rinse and pre-wash system that does not require any modifications to existing kitchens or purchase of net new appliance and is easily assembled by any home owner using readily available parts comprising of a water pump with an inlet hose, the said far end of the inlet hose attached to a debris strainer that is submerged in a small quantity of water in a sink or any water retaining device, outlet hose from the pump is attached to an energy-efficient pre-rinse sprayer, the pump is powered by AC/DC Adapter, the said device is operated causing a high powered stream of water that can be used to pre-rinse dishes in a closed loop of recycling water before putting in the dishwasher, the said device can also be used to pre-rinse and pre-wash or final wash big pots and pans that do not go into the dishwasher, the said device can be an independent kit or built to attach under sinks, the said device is to provide the owner with the flexibility of draining away the reused water and using a fresh set of water at their own discretion and hygiene index along with the availability of water, the said device can be used in residential homes as well as restaurants and other such applications where water is used for pre-rinse and pre-wash and there is desire to have control and full transparency around what kind of water is reused and for how long, said device can be powered by DC battery that can be solar charged for fully off the grid portable and outdoor setup.
