Abstract

The open end friction pile comprises of four steel plates, four brackets, and one driving head. The steel plates have a first bend line and a second bend line that are equidistant from a distal end. The first bend line and second bend line of the steel plates are equidistant from each other creating a center portion. The brackets have a first bend line and a second bend line that are equidistant from a distal end. The first bend line and second bend line of the brackets are equidistant from each other creating a center portion. The bracket has a third bend line along the center portion. One bracket is connected to one steel plate along the distal ends and center portion. All four steel plates and four brackets concurrently connect along the distal ends to form two open-ends. A driving head is connected covering the top open-end.

1 . An open end friction pile comprising:
 four steel plates, four brackets with a flap, and one driving head; wherein:   each distal end of a steel plate connects to a distal end of a separate steel plate;   each steel plate has one bracket with a flap connected; and   one driving head is connected and covers the top end of the steel plates and each flap of the bracket with a flap and distal end portions.   
     
     
         2 . The open end friction pile of  claim 1  wherein each steel plate has a first bend line from a distal end and a second bend line from a distal end; whereas the first and second bend lines are equidistant from the distal end creating a center portion. 
     
     
         3 . The open end friction pile of  claim 1  whereas each distal end from the first and second bend lines have tapered ends on the bottom. 
     
     
         4 . The open end friction pile of  claim 1  wherein each bracket with a flap has a first bend line from a distal end and a second bend line from a distal end; whereas the first and second bend lines are equidistant from the distal end creating a center portion. 
     
     
         5 . The open end friction pile of  claim 1  wherein each bracket with a flap has a horizontal third bend line equidistant to the center portion created by the first and second bend lines. 
     
     
         6 . The open end friction pile of  claim 5  wherein each bracket with a flap third bend line creates a flap portion. 
     
     
         7 . The open end friction pile of  claim 6  whereas each flap portion is bent on a ninety degree angle allowing the flap portion to extend away from the center portion. 
     
     
         8 . The open end friction pile of  claim 7  wherein gussets connect underneath each flap portion to the front facing side of each center portion along the ninety degree angle. 
     
     
         9 . The open end friction pile of  claim 1  wherein a bracket with a flap connects to a steel plate along the first and second bend lines and the center portion. 
     
     
         10 . The open end friction pile of  claim 9  wherein the distal end from the first bend line and the distal end of the second bend line of a steel plate connect to concurrent distal ends from the first and second bend lines of a steel plate to form a shape. 
     
     
         11 . The open end friction pile of  claim 10  form a top and bottom open-end. 
     
     
         12 . The open end friction pile of  claim 1  of a driving head that comprises of an H-Beam connected to a circular steel plate by gussets. 
     
     
         13 . The open end friction pile of  claim 12  whereas the gussets are connected to the “I” portion of the H-Beam and the front facing side of the H-Beam. 
     
     
         14 . The open end friction pile of  claim 12  whereas the gussets that connect the H-Beam to the circular steel plate do not cover the holes on the circular steel plate. 
     
     
         15 . The open end friction pile of  claim 1  wherein a driving head is connected to and covers the flap portion. 
     
     
         16 . The open end friction pile of  claim 6  wherein a driving head covers the third bend line of the bracket with a flap. 
     
     
         17 . The open end friction pile of  claim 1  wherein a driving head covers the top open-end. 
     
     
         18 . The open end friction pile of  claim 1  is hot-dipped galvanized. 
     
     
         19 . The method of installing the open end friction pile of  claim 1  is by a Mobilram system. 
     
     
         20 . A method of using the open end friction pile of  claim 1  is for connecting seventy-five feet to four-hundred feet utility poles or lattice structures.
