Shorts with integrated liner

Abstract

The present invention improves upon contemporary shorts with integrated liners by providing a short with liner, the liner being affixed to the waistband of the short along a majority of the circumference of the short. A detached, dropped section along the front of the liner, has stretchable waistband that allows a user to enlarge the opening of the detached area.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . For wearing by a user, a pair of shorts with an integral liner comprising:
 a short constructed of a non-stretch material, the short having a waistband;   a liner constructed of a mesh material, the liner having a partial waistband;   wherein the liner's partial waistband extends along a portion of the front of the liner and is not attached to the short;   the liner's partial waistband being attached to the short's waistband on either side of the liner's fly area; and   and wherein the remaining portion of the liner is attached to the bottom of the short's waistband.   
     
     
         2 . The pair of shorts with an integral liner of  claim 1  further comprising a genital pouch formed into the liner that supports a male's genitals. 
     
     
         3 . The pair of shorts with an integral liner of  claim 1  wherein the partial waistband of the liner is constructed from a stretch material. 
     
     
         4 . The pair of shorts with an integral liner of  claim 1  wherein the partial waistband of the liner is curved downward from the waistband of the short. 
     
     
         5 . The pair of shorts with an integral liner of  claim 1  wherein the liner is constructed from a stretch material instead of a mesh material. 
     
     
         6 . The pair of shorts with an integral liner of  claim 1  wherein in the non-stretch material that the short is constructed from is polyester. 
     
     
         7 . The pair of shorts with an integral liner of  claim 1  wherein the attachment of the liner to the bottom of the short's waistband extends from approximately one side of the fly area of the liner the short to approximately another side of the fly area of the liner. 
     
     
         8 . A short with an integrated liner comprising:
 a short constructed of a non-stretch material, the short having a waistband;   a liner constructed of a mesh material, the liner having a partial waistband;   wherein the liner's partial waistband extends along a portion of the top front of the liner and is not attached to the short;   the liner's partial waistband being attached to the short's waistband at both sides of the fly area of the liner; and   wherein the remainder of the waistband of the liner is attached to the bottom of the short's waistband.   
     
     
         9 . The short with integrated liner of  claim 8  wherein the stitching of the partial waistband to the short comprises clean stitching the partial waistband to the short. 
     
     
         10 . The short with integrated liner of  claim 8  further comprising a fly that is constructed as part of the integrated liner. 
     
     
         11 . The short with integrated liner of  claim 8  wherein the mesh material of the integrated liner is a blend of polyester, spandex, and nylon. 
     
     
         12 . The short with integrated liner of  claim 8  further comprising constructing the liner from a stretch material instead of a mesh material. 
     
     
         13 . The short with integrated liner of  claim 8  further comprising a genital pouch for supporting male genitals. 
     
     
         14 . The short with integrated liner of  claim 13  wherein the genital pouch comprises side panels that are formed in amid-section of a front wall depending from the integrated liner's partial waistband. 
     
     
         15 . A short with integrated liner comprising:
 the short being constructed of a non-stretch material, the short having a waistband;   the integrated liner being constructed of a mesh material, the integrated liner having a partial waistband and a fly area;   wherein the integrated liner's partial waistband extends along a portion of the front of the integrated liner;   the integrated liner's partial waistband being attached to the short's waistband at positions on the short that are approximately the same width as the fly area of the liner;   wherein the top portion of the integrated liner that is not the partial waistband is attached to the bottom of the short's waistband; and   further comprising a genital pouch shaped to support a male's genitalia and phallus, wherein the genital pouch is on the front wall of the integrated liner, the pouch being formed from a pair of side panels being substantially parallel and laterally spaced apart.   
     
     
         16 . The short with integrated liner of  claim 15  wherein the integrated liner is constructed from a stretch material instead of a mesh material. 
     
     
         17 . The short with integrated liner of  claim 16  further comprising a mesh gusset. 
     
     
         18 . The short with integrated liner of  claim 15  wherein a lower extremity of the pouch extends under and rearwardly of the front wall to form a perineum portion for covering rearwardly past the scrotum and to the perineum of the user. 
     
     
         19 . The short with integrated liner of  claim 15  wherein the pouch has an inner lining that is smooth and seamless over a central penis-covering portion thereof. 
     
     
         20 . The short with integrated liner of  claim 15  further comprising a fly formed as part of the short.
