Abstract

An air conditioner may include a case in which an inlet and an outlet are formed; an indoor fan that is disposed inside of the case and forms an airflow; a heat exchanger that is disposed inside of the case and exchanges heat between air and a refrigerant; and a partition wall that is disposed between the indoor fan and the heat exchanger and divides an interior of the case into a cycle unit space in which the heat exchanger is disposed and a drive unit space in which the indoor fan is disposed. The partition wall may include at least one protrusion that protrudes toward the cycle unit space.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . An air conditioner, comprising:
 a case in which an inlet and an outlet are formed;   an indoor fan that is disposed inside of the case and forms an airflow;   a heat exchanger that is disposed inside of the case and exchanges heat between air and a refrigerant; and   a partition wall that is disposed between the indoor fan and the heat exchanger and divides an interior of the case into a cycle unit space in which the heat exchanger is disposed and a drive unit space in which the indoor fan is disposed, wherein the partition wall comprises at least one protrusion that protrudes toward the cycle unit space.   
     
     
         2 . The air conditioner of  claim 1 , wherein the at least one protrusion comprises a first protrusion that is formed with at least one electric wire hole through which at least one electric wire passes and protrudes toward the cycle unit space. 
     
     
         3 . The air conditioner of  claim 2 , wherein the partition wall includes a plate located between the cycle unit space and the drive unit space, wherein the plate includes a long side and a short side, which is shorter than the long side, and wherein the partition wall comprises a plurality of second protrusions that extends in a direction parallel to the short side. 
     
     
         4 . The air conditioner of  claim 3 , wherein the partition wall comprises a third protrusion that extends in a direction parallel to the long side. 
     
     
         5 . The air conditioner of  claim 2 , further comprising:
 a control box disposed in the drive unit space and having at least one through hole through which the at least one electric wire passes; and   at least one drive unit fixing member disposed in the drive unit space and to which the at least one electric wire is fixed, wherein a distance that the at least one drive unit fixing member is spaced apart from the at least one electric wire hole is longer than a distance that the at least one through hole is spaced apart from the at least one electric wire hole.   
     
     
         6 . The air conditioner of  claim 5 , further comprising:
 a motor that rotates the indoor fan; and   a bracket on which the motor is fixed and coupled to the partition wall, wherein the at least one electric wire comprises a first electric wire and a second electric wire, wherein the at least one electric wire hole comprises a first electric wire hole through which the first electric wire passes, and a second electric wire hole through which the second electric wire passes, wherein the at least one drive unit fixing member comprises a first drive unit fixing member coupled to the control box and to which the first electric wire is fixed, and a second drive unit fixing member coupled to the bracket and to which the second electric wire is fixed, and wherein the at least one through hole comprises a first through hole through which the first electric wire passes, and a second through hole through which the second electric wire passes.   
     
     
         7 . The air conditioner of  claim 6 , wherein:
 a distance that the first drive unit fixing member is spaced apart from the first electric wire hole is longer than a distance that the first through hole is spaced apart from the first electric wire hole; and   a distance that the second drive unit fixing member is spaced apart from the second electric wire hole is longer than a distance that the second through hole is spaced apart from the second electric wire hole.   
     
     
         8 . The air conditioner of  claim 5 , wherein:
 the at least one electric wire extends from the at least one electric wire hole toward the at least one drive unit fixing member, and extends from the at least one drive unit fixing member toward the at least one through hole; and   a distance that the at least one electric wire is spaced apart from the partition wall decreases as the at least one electric wire moves from the at least one drive unit fixing member to the at least one through hole.   
     
     
         9 . The air conditioner of  claim 1 , further comprising a blower housing that accommodates the indoor fan, wherein the partition wall is formed with a communication opening that provides communication between the cycle unit space and the drive unit space, and wherein the blower housing protrudes into the cycle unit space through the communication opening. 
     
     
         10 . The air conditioner of  claim 1 , further comprising:
 a motor that rotates the indoor fan; and   a bracket on which the motor is fixed and coupled to the partition wall.   
     
     
         11 . The air conditioner of  claim 1 , further comprising:
 a mount that fixes the heat exchanger to the case; and   a drain pan disposed between the partition wall and the heat exchanger, wherein the drain pan is located between the mount and the partition wall.   
     
     
         12 . The air conditioner of  claim 11 , wherein the at least one protrusion comprises a first protrusion that is formed with at least one electric wire hole through which at least one electric wire passes and protrudes toward the cycle unit space, and wherein the mount comprises a cycle unit fixing member to which the at least one electric wire is fixed. 
     
     
         13 . The air conditioner of  claim 12 , wherein the at least one electric wire comprises:
 a first line portion located in the cycle unit space and disposed between the cycle unit fixing member and the at least one electric wire hole; and   a second line portion located in the cycle unit space and connected to the first line unit, wherein the second line unit comprises a bent portion that approaches and moves away from the drain pan as it extends away from the cycle unit fixing member along a longitudinal direction of the second line portion.   
     
     
         14 . An air conditioner, comprising:
 a case in which an inlet and an outlet are formed;   an indoor fan that is disposed inside of the case and forms an airflow;   a heat exchanger that is disposed inside of the case and exchanges heat between air and a refrigerant;   a partition wall that is disposed between the indoor fan and the heat exchanger and divides an interior of the case into a cycle unit space in which the heat exchanger is disposed and a drive unit space in which the indoor fan is disposed; and   a blower housing that accommodates the indoor fan, wherein:
 the partition wall is formed with a communication opening that provides communication between the cycle unit space and the drive unit space; and 
 the blower housing protrudes into the cycle unit space through the communication opening. 
   
     
     
         15 . The air conditioner of  claim 14 , wherein:
 the partition wall divides the cycle unit space located at an upper side and the drive unit space located at a lower side;   the blower housing protrudes upward through the communication opening; and   the partition wall comprises at least one protrusion that protrudes upwardly.   
     
     
         16 . The air conditioner of  claim 14 , wherein a central longitudinal axis of the air conditioner extends in a horizontal direction. 
     
     
         17 . The air conditioner of  claim 14 , wherein a central longitudinal axis of the air conditioner extends in a vertical direction. 
     
     
         18 . An air conditioner, comprising:
 a case in which an inlet and an outlet are formed;   an indoor fan that is disposed inside of the case and forms an airflow;   a heat exchanger that is disposed inside of the case and exchanges heat between air and a refrigerant; and   a partition wall that is in the form of a plate disposed between the indoor fan and the heat exchanger and divides an interior of the case into a cycle unit space in which the heat exchanger is disposed and a drive unit space in which the indoor fan is disposed, the plate extending in a first direction and a second direction perpendicular to the first direction, wherein the partition wall comprises at least one protrusion that protrudes toward the cycle unit space, and wherein the at least one protrusion comprises:   a first protrusion that is formed with at least one electric wire hole through which at least one electric wire passes and protrudes toward the cycle unit space;   a plurality of second protrusions that extends in the first direction, the first protrusion being disposed between at least two of the plurality of second protrusions; and   a third protrusion that extends in the second direction.   
     
     
         19 . The air conditioner of  claim 18 , further comprising a blower housing that accommodates the indoor fan, wherein the partition wall is formed with a communication opening that provides communication between the cycle unit space and the drive unit space, and wherein the blower housing protrudes into the cycle unit space through the communication opening. 
     
     
         20 . The air conditioner of  claim 18 , further comprising:
 a motor that rotates the indoor fan;   a bracket on which the motor is fixed and coupled to the partition wall;   a mount that fixes the heat exchanger to the case; and   a drain pan disposed between the partition wall and the heat exchanger, wherein the drain pan is located between the mount and the partition wall.
