Abstract

An odor removal assembly for reducing odors emanating from a toilet includes an air pumping unit that is mountable to a toilet. The air pumping unit has an inlet and an outlet to urge air inwardly through the inlet and outwardly through the outlet when the air pumping unit is actuated. The inlet is in fluid communication with an interior of a bowl of the toilet to suctionally remove odors from the bowl. The outlet is in fluid communication with a drain of the toilet to release the odors into the drain thereby inhibiting the odors from permeating the bathroom in which the toilet is disposed.

I claim: 
     
         1 . An odor removal assembly for removing odors from a toilet bowl thereby inhibiting the odors for permeating a bathroom, said assembly comprising:
 an air pumping unit being mountable to a toilet, said air pumping unit having an inlet and an outlet wherein said air pumping unit is configured to urge air inwardly through said inlet and outwardly through said outlet when said air pumping unit is actuated, said inlet being in fluid communication with an interior of a bowl of said toilet wherein said inlet is configured to suctionally remove odors from said bowl, said outlet being in fluid communication with a drain of said toilet wherein said outlet is configured to release the odors into said drain thereby inhibiting the odors from permeating the bathroom in which said toilet is disposed.   
     
     
         2 . The assembly according to  claim 1 , wherein said air pumping unit comprises:
 a housing having a lower wall, and a forward wall and a lateral wall, said lower wall resting on a top surface of a bowl of said toilet at a point located behind a toilet seat hinge on said bowl having said forward wall being directed toward said bowl; and   an air pump being integrated into said housing, said air pump having an intake and an exhaust wherein said air pump is configured to urge air inwardly through said intake and outwardly through said exhaust when said air pump is turned on.   
     
     
         3 . The assembly according to  claim 2 , wherein:
 said air pumping unit includes an intake tube having a coupled end being fluidly coupled to said intake of said air pump such that said intake tube defines said inlet of said air pumping unit wherein said air pump is configured to urge air into said intake tube when said air pump is turned on; and   said intake tube extends outwardly through said forward wall of said housing.

The assembly according to  claim 3 , wherein said intake tube extends downwardly into said bowl such that a free end of said intake tube is positioned within said bowl wherein said intake tube is configured to suctionally remove odors within said bowl when said air pump is turned on. 
     
     
         5 . The assembly according to  claim 2 , wherein:
 said air pumping unit includes an exhaust tube having a coupled end being fluidly coupled to said exhaust of said air pump such that said exhaust tube defines said outlet of said air pumping unit wherein said air pump is configured to urge air outwardly through said exhaust tube when said air pump is turned on; and   said exhaust tube extends outwardly through said forward wall of said housing.

The assembly according to  claim 5 , wherein said exhaust tube extends downwardly into said bowl, said exhaust tube following contours of an interior surface of said bowl such that said exhaust tube extends into a drain in said toilet bowl such that a free end of said exhaust tube is positioned within said drain wherein said exhaust tube is configured to direct the odors into said drain thereby inhibiting the odors from permeating the bathroom in which said toilet is disposed. 
     
     
         7 . The assembly according to  claim 2 , wherein said air pumping unit includes a power supply being integrated into said housing, said power supply being electrically coupled to said air pump, said power supply comprising:
 a battery being removably positioned within said housing, said battery being electrically coupled to said air pump; and   a power switch being movably integrated into said lateral wall of said housing, said power switch being electrically coupled to said air pump, said power switch being positionable in an on position for actuating said air pump or an off position for de-actuating said air pump.   
     
     
         8 . An odor removal assembly for removing odors from a toilet bowl thereby inhibiting the odors for permeating a bathroom, said assembly comprising:
 an air pumping unit being mountable to a toilet, said air pumping unit having an inlet and an outlet wherein said air pumping unit is configured to urge air inwardly through said inlet and outwardly through said outlet when said air pumping unit is actuated, said inlet being in fluid communication with an interior of a bowl of said toilet wherein said inlet is configured to suctionally remove odors from said bowl, said outlet being in fluid communication with a drain of said toilet wherein said outlet is configured to release the odors into said drain thereby inhibiting the odors from permeating the bathroom in which said toilet is disposed, said air pumping unit comprising:
 a housing having a lower wall, and a forward wall and a lateral wall, said lower wall resting on a top surface of a bowl of said toilet at a point located behind a toilet seat hinge on said bowl; 
 an air pump being integrated into said housing, said air pump having an intake and an exhaust wherein said air pump is configured to urge air inwardly through said intake and outwardly through said exhaust when said air pump is turned on; 
 an intake tube having a coupled end being fluidly coupled to said intake of said air pump such that said intake tube defines said inlet of said air pumping unit wherein said air pump is configured to urge air into said intake tube when said air pump is turned on, said intake tube extending outwardly through said forward wall of said housing, said intake tube extending downwardly into said bowl such that a free end of said intake tube is positioned within said bowl wherein said intake tube is configured to suctionally remove odors within said bowl when said air pump is turned on; 
 an exhaust tube having a coupled end being fluidly coupled to said exhaust of said air pump such that said exhaust tube defines said outlet of said air pumping unit wherein said air pump is configured to urge air outwardly through said exhaust tube when said air pump is turned on, said exhaust tube extending outwardly through said forward wall of said housing, said exhaust tube extending downwardly into said bowl, said exhaust tube following contours of an interior surface of said bowl such that said exhaust tube extends into a drain in said toilet bowl such that a free end of said exhaust tube is positioned within said drain wherein said exhaust tube is configured to direct the odors into said drain thereby inhibiting the odors from permeating the bathroom in which said toilet is disposed; and 
 a power supply being integrated into said housing, said power supply being electrically coupled to said air pump, said power supply comprising:
 a battery being removably positioned within said housing, said battery being electrically coupled to said air pump; and 
 a power switch being movably integrated into said lateral wall of said housing, said power switch being electrically coupled to said air pump, said power switch being positionable in an on position for actuating said air pump or an off position for de-actuating said air pump. 
 
   
     
     
         9 . The assembly according to  claim 8 , wherein said housing and said air pump is a unitary structure of said toilet having been installed during the manufacturing process of said toilet. 
     
     
         10 . The assembly according to  claim 8 , wherein said intake tube is structurally integrated into said toilet such that said intake tube is concealed from view. 
     
     
         11 . The assembly according to  claim 8 , wherein said exhaust tube is structurally integrated into said toilet such that said exhaust tube is concealed from view. 
     
     
         12 . A method of removing odors from a toilet thereby inhibiting the odors from permeating a bathroom in which said toilet is disposed, the steps of the method comprising:
 mounting an air pumping unit to a toilet having said air pumping unit being positioned behind a hinge of a toilet seat of said toilet;   routing an intake tube into a bowl of said toilet, said intake tube being fluidly coupled to an intake of said air pumping unit wherein said intake tube is configured to suctionally urge air inwardly through said intake tube when said air pumping unit is turned on thereby removing odors from said bowl;   routing an exhaust tube into said bowl of said toilet having said exhaust tube following contours of an interior surface of said bowl such that said exhaust tube extends into a drain of said toilet, said exhaust tube being fluidly coupled to an exhaust of said air pumping unit wherein said exhaust tube is configured to direct air into said drain when said air pumping unit is turned on thereby directing the odors into said drain;   manipulating a power switch on said air pumping unit into an on position for actuating said air pumping unit when said toilet has been employed for defecation; and   manipulating said power switch into an off position for de-actuating said air pumping unit when said air pumping unit has been actuated for a sufficient duration of time to remove the odors from said toilet.
