Abstract

A sports equipment assembly includes a sports equipment device and a ball. The sports equipment device has a barrel and a shaft. The barrel has a padding, a cover surrounding the padding, a lower end, an upper end, a contact surface extending between the lower end and the upper end, and a ball receiving depression on the upper end. The shaft has a lower portion and an upper portion. The lower portion extends from the lower end of the barrel and defines a handle. The upper portion extends through the barrel, with an uppermost end of the shaft being vertically spaced a distance below the upper end of the barrel. The ball has a spherical shape and is positioned in the ball receiving depression of the barrel that conforms to the spherical shape of the ball.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . A sports equipment assembly, comprising:
 a sports equipment device, comprising:
a padded barrel having a lower end, an upper end, and a contact surface extending between the lower end and the upper end, the upper end having a ball receiving depression; and
a handle extending from the lower end of the barrel; and
a ball positioned in the ball receiving depression.

2 . The sports equipment assembly of claim 1 , wherein the sports equipment device further comprises a shaft having a lower portion and an upper portion, the lower portion defining the handle and the upper portion extending through the padded barrel with an uppermost end of the shaft being vertically spaced a distance below the upper end of the padded barrel.

3 . The sports equipment assembly of claim 2 , wherein the padded barrel comprises:
a padding surrounding the upper portion of the shaft; and a cover surrounding the padding, the cover attached to the upper portion of the shaft in a way to form the ball receiving depression.

4 . The sports equipment assembly of claim 3 , wherein the cover comprises:
a base material; and a stitching extending from the base material so as to attach the cover to the upper portion of the shaft.

5 . The sports equipment assembly of claim 4 , wherein the stitching includes a plurality of threads and the upper portion of the shaft includes a plurality of openings, the threads extend through the plurality of openings of the upper portion of the shaft.

6 . The sports equipment assembly of claim 1 , wherein the ball has a spherical shape, and wherein the ball receiving depression conforms to the spherical shape of the ball.

7 . The sports equipment assembly of claim 6 , wherein the ball has a circumference between about 68.0 cm and about 70.0 cm.

         8 . A sports equipment assembly, comprising:
 a sports equipment device, comprising:
a barrel having a padding, a cover surrounding the padding, a lower end, an upper end, a contact surface extending between the lower end and the upper end, and a ball receiving depression on the upper end, the cover extending across an entirety of the upper end; and
a handle extending from the lower end of the barrel; and
a ball positioned in the ball receiving depression.

9 . The sports equipment assembly of claim 8 , wherein the sports equipment device further comprises:
a shaft having a lower portion and an upper portion, the lower portion defining the handle and the upper portion extending through the barrel with an uppermost end of the shaft being vertically spaced a distance below the upper end of the barrel.

10 . The sports equipment assembly of claim 9 , wherein the padding surrounds the upper portion of the shaft, and the cover is attached to the upper portion of the shaft in a way to form the ball receiving depression.

11 . The sports equipment assembly of claim 10 , wherein the cover comprises:
a base material; and a stitching extending from the base material so as to attach the cover to the upper portion of the shaft.

12 . The sports equipment assembly of claim 11 , wherein the stitching includes a plurality of threads and the upper portion of the shaft includes a plurality of openings, the threads extend through the plurality of openings of the upper portion of the shaft.

13 . The sports equipment assembly of claim 7 , wherein the ball has a spherical shape, and wherein the ball receiving depression conforms to the spherical shape of the ball.

14 . The sports equipment assembly of claim 13 , wherein the ball has a circumference between about 68.0 cm and about 70.0 cm.

         15 . A sports equipment assembly, comprising:
 a sports equipment device, comprising:
a barrel having a padding, a cover surrounding the padding, a lower end, an upper end, a contact surface extending between the lower end and the upper end, and a ball receiving depression on the upper end, the cover extending across an entirety of the upper end; and
a shaft having a lower portion and an upper portion, the lower portion extending from the lower end of the barrel and defining a handle, the upper portion extending through the barrel with an uppermost end of the shaft being vertically spaced a distance below the upper end of the barrel; and
a ball positioned in the ball receiving depression, the ball having a spherical shape, wherein the ball receiving depression conforms to the spherical shape of the ball.

16 . The sports equipment assembly of claim 15 , wherein the ball has a circumference between about 68.0 cm and about 70.0 cm.
