Laundry treating apparatus

Abstract

A laundry treating apparatus includes a cabinet having an accommodation space for accommodating laundry, a door configured to open and close the accommodation space, a support part provided in the accommodation space or the door, a pressing part configured to press the laundry towards the support part, a shaft configured to rotate the pressing part to a position where the pressing part faces the support part while being spaced apart from the support part by a predetermined distance, a fastening part provided in the door or the support part to couple the shaft to the door or the support part, a body coupling part coupled to the pressing part, and a body moving part configured to connect the body coupling part to the shaft. The pressing part is able to move toward the support part for laundry to be pressed between the pressing part and the support part.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A laundry treating apparatus comprising:
 a cabinet having an accommodation space for accommodating laundry;   a door configured to open and close the accommodation space;   a support part provided in the accommodation space or the door;   a pressing part configured to press the laundry towards the support part;   a shaft configured to rotate the pressing part to a position where the pressing part faces the support part while being spaced apart from the support part by a predetermined distance;   a fastening part provided in the door or the support part to couple the shaft to the door or the support part;   a body coupling part coupled to the pressing part; and   a body moving part configured to connect the body coupling part to the shaft,   wherein the pressing part is able to move toward the support part for laundry to be pressed between the pressing part and the support part.   
     
     
         2 . The laundry treating apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the fastening part is configured to provide a space for the shaft to be rotatable. 
     
     
         3 . The laundry treating apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein a first portion of the pressing part where the shaft is coupled to and a second portion of the pressing part that is the opposite side of the first portion move simultaneously towards the supporting part by a position change part. 
     
     
         4 . The laundry treating apparatus of  claim 3 , wherein the first portion of the pressing part is one of the left and right side of the pressing part, and the second portion of the pressing part is the other one of the left and right side of the pressing part. 
     
     
         5 . The laundry treating apparatus of  claim 3 , wherein the first portion and the second portion of the pressing part move simultaneously away from the supporting part by a position change part. 
     
     
         6 . The laundry treating apparatus of  claim 1 , further comprising a groove provided in the support part in a height direction of the support part,
 wherein the groove extends from the upper end of the support part to the lower end of the support part.   
     
     
         7 . The laundry treating apparatus of  claim 1 , further comprising a groove provided in the pressing part in a height direction of the pressing part. 
     
     
         8 . The laundry treating apparatus of  claim 1 , further comprising a fixing part provided in the accommodation space or the door and located above the support part to place the laundry on the accommodation space or the door. 
     
     
         9 . The laundry treating apparatus of  claim 1 , further comprising a moisture supply part configured to supply steam or mist to the laundry located between the pressing part and the support part. 
     
     
         10 . The laundry treating apparatus of  claim 9 , further comprising a through-hole formed through the pressing part,
 wherein the moisture supply part configured to supply steam or mist to the accommodation space.   
     
     
         11 . The laundry treating apparatus of  claim 1 , further comprising an air supply part configured to supply heated or unheated air to the laundry located between the pressing part and the support part. 
     
     
         12 . The laundry treating apparatus of  claim 11 , further comprising a through-hole formed through the pressing part, and
 wherein the air supply configured to supply heated or unheated air to the accommodation space.
