Hunting rifle calibre conversion kit and procedure for converting the calibre of said rifle

Abstract

A hunting rifle calibre conversion kit including a rifle including at least one barrel defining a central axis and configured to house cartridges of a predetermined main calibre, the kit also includes at least one first conversion apparatus including a hollow cylindrical element defining its own expansion axis and configured to be positioned inside the barrel in such a way that the expansion axis coincides with the central axis, the cylindrical element is also configured to house cartridges of a higher calibre than the predetermined main calibre.

1 . A hunting rifle calibre conversion kit comprising a rifle including at least one barrel defining a central axis and configured to house cartridges of a predetermined main calibre, and:
 at least a first conversion apparatus comprising a hollow cylindrical element defining its own expansion axis and configured to be positioned inside said barrel in such a way that said expansion axis coincides with said central axis and to house cartridges of a higher calibre than said predetermined main calibre.   
     
     
         2 . The kit according to  claim 1 , wherein said cylindrical element comprises a shoulder adapted to rigidly constrain the mutual translation between said cylindrical element and said barrel along said central axis. 
     
     
         3 . The kit according to  claim 1 , wherein said rifle comprises at least one cylinder defining a longitudinal axis configured to be constrained in a removable manner to said rifle, selectively communicating with said barrel and comprising housings for cartridges of said main calibre and defining respective centres mutually distributed along a first circumference with a first predetermined pitch.

The kit according to  claim 1 , comprising a second conversion apparatus that consists of a first alternative drum including housings for cartridges of calibre greater than said predetermined main calibre and defining respective centres mutually distributed along a second circumference congruent to said first circumference with a second step equivalent to said first predetermined step. 
     
     
         5 . The kit according to  claim 1 , comprising a plurality of third conversion apparatuses each consisting of a plurality of hollow rod adapted to be arranged in a corresponding said housing and configured for housing cartridges with a higher calibre than said predetermined main calibre so said cylinder and said rods together form a second alternative drum. 
     
     
         6 . The kit according to  claim 5 , wherein each of said rod comprises a shoulder adapted to be arranged externally to said housings to integrally constrain the reciprocal translation between each said rod and each said respective housing along said longitudinal axis. 
     
     
         7 . The kit according to  claim 1 , wherein the said rifle comprises a cover configured to contain, in use, said cylinder in such a way that said cylinder is not accessible from the outside. 
     
     
         8 . A process for transforming the calibre for a hunting rifle carried out with a hunting rifle calibre conversion kit according to  claim 1 , comprising:
 inserting said cylindrical element into said barrel of said rifle in such a way that said barrel can house cartridges of higher calibre than said predetermined main calibre.   
     
     
         9 . The process according to  claim 8 , further comprising replacing said cylinder with said first alternative cylinder. 
     
     
         10 . The process according to  claim 8 , further comprising inserting in each said housing a said rod having a calibre corresponding to the calibre of said cylindrical element to make said second alternative cylinder. 
     
     
         11 . The kit according to  claim 2 , wherein said rifle comprises at least one cylinder defining a longitudinal axis configured to be constrained in a removable manner to said rifle, selectively communicating with said barrel and comprising housings for cartridges of said main calibre and defining respective centres mutually distributed along a first circumference with a first predetermined pitch.

The kit according to  claim 11 , comprising a second conversion apparatus that consists of a first alternative drum including housings for cartridges of calibre greater than said predetermined main calibre and defining respective centres mutually distributed along a second circumference congruent to said first circumference with a second step equivalent to said first predetermined step. 
     
     
         13 . The kit according to  claim 12 , comprising a plurality of third conversion apparatuses each consisting of a plurality of hollow rod adapted to be arranged in a corresponding said housing and configured for housing cartridges with a higher calibre than said predetermined main calibre so said cylinder and said rods together form a second alternative drum.
