Abstract

The present invention relates to a magazine well for a self-loading firearm, comprising a magazine tube furnished with a recess, which tube includes an axially extending accommodation space for a magazine of the self-loading firearm, and an interchangeable insert which can be inserted in the recess of the magazine tube, wherein the interchangeable insert comprises a pre-tensioned slide that is mounted displaceably inside the interchangeable insert and via which axial pressure can be applied to a breech block lever of the self-loading firearm.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A magazine well for a self-loading firearm, comprising:
 a magazine tube furnished with a recess, which has an axially extending accommodation space for a magazine of the self-loading firearm; and   an interchangeable insert that is insertable in the recess of the magazine tube;   wherein the interchangeable insert comprises a pre-tensioned slide that is mounted displaceably inside the interchangeable insert and via which axial pressure can be applied to a breech block lever of the self-loading firearm.   
     
     
         2 . The magazine well of  claim 1 , wherein the slide has a lug element on its first distal end section, by means of which axial pressure can be applied to the slide by a follower of a magazine in such manner that the slide then applies the axial pressure to the breech block lever of the self-loading firearm, preferably via a tongue conformed on the end section. 
     
     
         3 . The magazine well of  claim 1 , wherein the slide comprises an axially extending main section having a first end closest to the lug element, and a second end arranged axially opposite thereto, and wherein the main section of the slide is mounted displaceably at least over part of its length in a guide channel of the interchangeable insert. 
     
     
         4 . The magazine well of  claim 3 , wherein the slide includes a plurality of wing elements arranged on the main section thereof, extending preferably vertically from the main section, in particular from longitudinal sides thereof. 
     
     
         5 . The magazine well of  claim 3 , wherein the slide comprises an axially extending head section on the first axial end of the main section, which is offset radially with respect to the main section, and from which the lug element extends vertically. 
     
     
         6 . The magazine well of  claim 3 , wherein the slide has a first leg section that extends vertically from the second axial end of the main section, wherein the first leg section is preferably arranged in the same spatial plane as the main section. 
     
     
         7 . The magazine well of  claim 6 , wherein the second distal end section of the slide is formed by a second leg section, which extends from the first leg section in the form of an angled extension. 
     
     
         8 . The magazine well of  claim 1 , wherein the slide is biased by means of a spring element, which is preferably arranged on the interchangeable insert and engages with a second distal end section of the slide. 
     
     
         9 . The magazine well of  claim 1 , wherein the interchangeable insert has a first stop surface on an inner side thereof facing the accommodation space, and wherein the slide, when in an axial home position thereof, bears on the first stop surface. 
     
     
         10 . The magazine well of  claim 9 , wherein the interchangeable insert comprises a second stop surface on the inner side thereof facing the accommodation space, by which axial movement of the slide is limited. 
     
     
         11 . The magazine well of  claim 9 , further comprising two stop surfaces corresponding to two longitudinal sides of the first leg section. 
     
     
         12 . The magazine well of  claim 1 , wherein the magazine tube has at least one projection proximate the recess, which forms a plug connection with the at least one hook-like connecting element(s) arranged on the inner side of the interchangeable insert when the interchangeable insert is inserted into the recess of the magazine tube. 
     
     
         13 . The magazine well of  claim 1 , wherein the magazine well includes at least one radially inwardly offset wall section in the region of the recess. 
     
     
         14 . The magazine well of  claim 13 , wherein the recess of the magazine tube and the interchangeable insert are configured such that when the interchangeable insert is inserted into the recess of the magazine tube, a hollow space is formed between the wall section and the inner side of the interchangeable insert, which accommodates at least a part of the slide. 
     
     
         15 . The magazine well of  claim 13 , wherein when the interchangeable insert is inserted into the recess of the magazine tube, the wall section forms a plug connection with at least one further hook-like connecting element arranged on the inner side of the interchangeable insert. 
     
     
         16 . The magazine well of  claim 1 , wherein the magazine tube has at least one fastening element proximate the recess, via which the interchangeable insert can be connected non-positively to the magazine tube. 
     
     
         17 . A self-loading firearm, preferably a semi-automatic long or short weapon, comprising the magazine well of  claim 1 . 
     
     
         18 . The self-loading firearm of  claim 17 , wherein the breech block lever does not comprise a dog. 
     
     
         19 . An interchangeable insert compatible for use in a magazine well according to  claim 1 , the interchangeable insert comprising a pre-tensioned slide which is mounted displaceably inside the interchangeable insert. 
     
     
         20 . An adapter ring suitable for use in the magazine well of  claim 1 , wherein outer dimensions of the adapter ring are adapted to match inner dimensions of the magazine well, including the axial accommodation space thereof.
