Household appliance for cooking dishes comprising a stovetop and a downdraft hood
Abstract
The present disclosure relates to a household appliance for cooking dishes extending along a height direction, a width direction, and a depth direction defining a three-dimensional Cartesian reference system, said household appliance comprising: a stovetop having at least one suction opening for cooking fumes and extending mainly along the width and depth direction, a downdraft hood comprising: a box-like body extending below the stovetop along the height direction and defining an internal volume accessible through a connection opening, a suction unit arranged in the internal volume of the box-like body and having a discharge duct protruding from the box-like body, the suction unit being configured to generate a suction flow of the cooking fumes directly along a fluid-dynamic path extending from the suction opening to the discharge duct passing through the connection opening; a filter unit, arranged along the fluid-dynamic path between the suction opening and the suction unit, a suction manifold interposed between the stovetop and the box-like body along the height direction and defining a suction chamber placed in fluid connection with the suction opening and with the connection opening, said suction chamber extending mainly along the width and depth direction below the stovetop.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A household appliance for cooking dishes extending along a height direction, a width direction, and a depth direction defining a three-dimensional Cartesian reference system, said household appliance comprising:
a stovetop having at least one suction opening for cooking fumes and extending mainly along the width and depth direction, a downdraft hood comprising:
a box-like body extending below the stovetop along the height direction and defining an internal volume accessible through a connection opening, said internal volume being placed in fluid communication with the suction opening of the stovetop through said connection opening,
a suction unit arranged in the internal volume of the box-like body and having a discharge duct protruding from the box-like body, said suction unit being configured to generate a suction flow of the cooking fumes directed along a fluid-dynamic path extending from the suction opening of the stovetop to the discharge duct passing through the connection opening;
a filter unit, configured to filter greases and/or odours present in the cooking fumes, arranged along the fluid-dynamic path between the suction opening and the suction unit,
a suction manifold interposed between the stovetop and the box-like body along the height direction and defining a suction chamber placed in fluid connection with the suction opening and with the connection opening, said suction chamber extending mainly along the width and depth direction below the stovetop, the filter assembly being arranged in the suction chamber and comprising:
a grease filter arranged below the suction opening of the stovetop,
at least one odour filter arranged laterally to the grease filter along the width direction or the depth direction.
2 . The household appliance according to claim 1 , wherein:
the extension of the suction chamber along the width direction is equal to 1-20 times the extension of the suction opening along the width direction, and/or the extension of the suction chamber along the depth direction is equal to 1-20 times the extension of the suction opening along the depth direction.
3 . The household appliance according to claim 1 , wherein:
the stovetop extends along the width direction for a first width value; the suction chamber extends along the width direction for a second width value, the suction chamber and the stovetop extend overlapping vertically in the width direction for a third width value greater than 50% of the first width value.
4 . The household appliance according to claim 1 , wherein:
the stovetop extends along the depth direction for a first depth value; the suction chamber extends along the depth direction for a second depth value, the suction chamber and the stovetop extend overlapping vertically in the depth direction for a third depth value greater than 30% of the first width value.
5 . The household appliance according to claim 1 , wherein:
the stovetop comprises a support portion adapted to support food containers and a bottom portion opposite to the support surface along the height direction, the suction chamber is delimited above by the bottom portion of the stovetop.
6 . A household appliance according to claim 1 , extending along the depth direction between a front portion and a rear portion, wherein:
the box-like body is arranged in said rear portion of the appliance; the manifold extends along the depth direction between the front portion and the rear portion of the household appliance.
7 . The household appliance according to claim 1 , wherein the manifold comprises a bottom delimiting the suction chamber below, said bottom having a further connection opening which can be associated with the connection opening of the box-like body for fluidic connection of the suction chamber and the internal volume.
8 . The household appliance according to claim 7 , wherein the further connection opening extends along the width direction for the entire extension in the width direction of the suction chamber.
9 . The household appliance according to claim 6 and claim 7 , wherein the further connection opening is arranged in the rear portion of the household appliance.
10 . The household appliance according to claim 1 , wherein the filter unit comprises a first and a second odour filter arranged on opposite sides of the grease filter along the width direction or the depth direction, said fluid-dynamic path having a bifurcation downstream of the suction opening and defining a first path through the first odour filter and a second path through the second odour filter.
11 . The household appliance according to claim 1 , wherein the filter unit is arranged in a central region of the manifold along the length direction and/or the width direction.
12 . The household appliance according to claim 1 , wherein:
the stovetop comprises at least one heating element, a supply unit of said heating element, and a cover element defining a seat adapted to receive the heating element and the supply unit, the heating element, the supply unit, the covering element are arranged above the manifold along the height direction, the manifold is configured to slide the suction flow in the vicinity of the cover element so as to remove part of the heat generated by the heating element and the supply unit in the seat.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
