Abstract
In at least one embodiment, a slip hanger or a packoff to be used with oilfield equipment has a plurality of inner bowl segments that provides support to a plurality of slip segments on an inner side and has a singular outer bowl to support an outer side of the plurality of inner bowl segments, where the plurality of inner bowl segments include a plurality of first retention features to enable association with a plurality of second retention features of the outer bowl.

1 . A system for a slip hanger or a packoff to be used with oilfield equipment, comprising:
a plurality of inner bowl segments to support a plurality of slip segments on an inner side and to be supported by a singular outer bowl on an outer side, wherein the plurality of inner bowl segments comprise a plurality of first retention features to enable association with a plurality of second retention features of the outer bowl.
2 . The system of claim 1 , further comprising:
a load shoulder of the oilfield equipment to support the outer bowl for the slip hanger or packoff to be used with the oilfield equipment.
3 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of first retention features and the plurality of second retention features are a plurality of interfacing shoulders that interface to provide load transfer from within the slip hanger or packoff to the oilfield equipment.
4 . The system of claim 1 , further comprising:
a top plate; a seal; and a plurality of fasteners to retain together the top plate, the seal, and at least the plurality of inner bowl segments prior to use in the oilfield equipment.
5 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of inner bowl segments comprise a first thickness between the inner side and the outer side and wherein the singular outer bowl comprises a second thickness of an outer wall, wherein the first thickness and the second thickness are based at least in part on at least one diameter of the oilfield equipment and a casing in an application of the slip hanger or the packoff.
6 . The system of claim 1 , wherein a plurality of fasteners retain together the plurality of inner bowl segments by a pulling force on the plurality of inner bowl segments and by a squeezing force on a seal that is between the plurality of inner bowl segments and a top plate.
7 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the outer bowl comprises a beam structure having a plurality of flutes and splines in an inner side of the slip hanger or the packoff to enable transfer loads from a pressure above the slip hanger or a packoff to a load shoulder of the oilfield equipment.
8 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of inner bowl segments is replaceable to adjust the slip hanger or the packoff to an application diameter associated therewith.
9 . A plurality of inner bowl segments to support a plurality of slip segments on an inner side and to be supported by a singular outer bowl on an outer side, wherein the plurality of inner bowl segments comprise a plurality of first retention features to enable association with a plurality of second retention features of the outer bowl, wherein the plurality of inner bowl segments are part of a slip hanger or a packoff to be used with oilfield equipment.
10 . The plurality of inner bowl segments of claim 9 , wherein the plurality of first retention features and the plurality of second retention features are a plurality of interfacing shoulders that interface to provide load transfer from within the slip hanger or packoff to the oilfield equipment.
11 . The plurality of inner bowl segments of claim 9 , wherein the plurality of inner bowl segments is replaceable to adjust the slip hanger or the packoff to an application diameter associated therewith.
12 . The plurality of inner bowl segments of claim 9 , wherein the plurality of inner bowl segments comprise a first thickness between the inner side and the outer side and wherein the outer bowl comprises a second thickness of an outer wall, wherein the first thickness and the second thickness are based at least in part on at least one diameter of an oilfield equipment and a casing in an application of the slip hanger or the packoff.
13 . A method for a slip hanger or a packoff to be used with an oilfield equipment, the method comprising:
determining a diameter to be associated with an application of the slip hanger or the packoff; determining at least a plurality of inner bowl segments associated with the diameter; and providing the plurality of inner bowl segments to support a plurality of slip segments on an inner side and to be supported by a singular outer bowl on an outer side, wherein the plurality of inner bowl segments comprise a plurality of first retention features to enable association with a plurality of second retention features of the outer bowl.
14 . The method of claim 13 , further comprising:
providing a load shoulder of the oilfield equipment to support the singular outer bowl for the slip hanger or packoff to be used with the oilfield equipment.
15 . The method of claim 13 , further comprising:
providing a top plate and a seal to be associated with the plurality of inner bowl segments, the plurality of slip segments, and the singular outer bowl; and retaining together, using a plurality of fasteners, the top plate, the seal, and at least the plurality of inner bowl segments prior to use in the oilfield equipment.
16 . The method of claim 13 , wherein the plurality of first retention features and the plurality of second retention features are a plurality of interfacing shoulders that interface to provide load transfer from within the slip hanger or packoff to the oilfield equipment.
17 . The method of claim 13 , wherein the plurality of inner bowl segments comprise a first thickness between the inner side and the outer side and wherein the singular outer bowl comprises a second thickness of an outer wall, wherein the first thickness and the second thickness are based at least in part on at least one diameter of an oilfield equipment and a casing in an application of the slip hanger or the packoff.
18 . The method of claim 13 , wherein the outer bowl comprises a beam structure having a plurality of flutes and splines in an inner side of the slip hanger or the packoff to enable transfer loads from a pressure above the slip hanger or a packoff to a load shoulder of the oilfield equipment.
19 . The method of claim 13 , wherein the plurality of inner bowl segments is replaceable to adjust the slip hanger or the packoff to an application diameter associated therewith.
