Wall block system
Abstract
A wall block comprising first and second opposing, parallel side walls extending lengthwise and first and second opposing, parallel end walls extending between respective ends of the side walls is disclosed. The first and second side walls are longer than the first and second end walls. At least first and second trapezoidal shaped projections extend outwardly from the first side wall, where the first and second projections are configured to be received in slots of adjacent blocks in a wall. A block assembly comprising a trunk block and a face block is also disclosed, where at least one trapezoidal shaped slot is configured to receive a trapezoidal shaped projection of the trunk block. A wall comprising at least a first course comprising a plurality of face blocks and a plurality of trunk blocks is further disclosed.

14 . The wall of claim 13 , wherein the plurality of face blocks comprises face blocks of different lengths.
15 . The wall of claim 13 , wherein the plurality of face blocks comprises face blocks of the same length.
16 . The wall of claim 13 , further comprising:
a second course disposed immediately above the first course, wherein the second course comprises a first row of face blocks and a second row of trunk blocks; and at least one block-connecting element comprising an upper portion and a lower portion, wherein the lower portion extends into a slot of the selected trunk block of the first course and the upper portion extends into a slot of a selected trunk block of the second course.
17 . The wall of claim 13 , wherein the first course further comprises a plurality of face blocks arranged in side-by-side relationship with each other and forming a third row of the first course, wherein the second row is arranged between the first and third rows, and wherein the selected trunk block in the second row interconnects two adjacent face blocks in the third row.
18 . The wall of claim 13 , wherein the first course further comprises a plurality of trunk blocks forming a third row of the first course, wherein the second row is arranged between the first and third rows, and wherein each of the trunk blocks in the third row is connected to a respective trunk block of the second row and extends perpendicularly therefrom.
19 . The wall of claim 18 , wherein the trunk blocks of the second row and the trunk blocks of the third row have the same size and shape.
20 . The wall of claim 13 , wherein the selected trunk block has first and second projections, wherein the first projection is positioned in a slot in one of the two adjacent face blocks and the second projection is positioned in a slot in the other of the two adjacent face blocks
21 . A block assembly comprising:
a trunk block comprising:
first and second opposing, parallel side walls extending lengthwise of the trunk block and first and second opposing, parallel end walls extending between respective ends of the side walls of the trunk block, wherein the first and second side walls of the trunk block are longer than the first and second end walls of the trunk block; and
