Abstract

Exercise blocks may be used as props while performing exercises such as yoga. An exercise block can include a stepped configuration formed by a number of steps that extend from a front and bottom of the exercise block to a top and back of the exercise block. The stepped configuration can facilitate performing a variety of exercises and/or varying a difficulty of an exercise. An exercise block may also include ribs across a back of the exercise block.

What is claimed:

1 . An exercise block comprising:
a top, a bottom, a front, and a back; and a plurality of steps that extend from the front to the top.

2 . The exercise block of claim 1 , wherein each step comprises an upward-facing surface and a frontward-facing surface.

3 . The exercise block of claim 2 , wherein the top forms the upward-facing surface of a top step of the plurality of steps.

4 . The exercise block of claim 2 , wherein the front forms a frontward-facing surface of a bottom step of the plurality of steps.

5 . The exercise block of claim 2 , wherein each of the upward-facing surfaces is parallel.

6 . The exercise block of claim 2 , wherein each of the frontward-facing surfaces is parallel.

7 . The exercise block of claim 2 , wherein the upward-facing surface of at least one of the steps has a different depth.

8 . The exercise block of claim 2 , wherein the upward-facing surface of a top step of the plurality of steps has a depth that is greater than the upward-facing surfaces of the other steps.

9 . The exercise block of claim 2 , wherein a frontward-facing surface of at least one of the steps has a different height.

10 . The exercise block of claim 2 , wherein the frontward-facing surface of a bottom step of the plurality of steps has a height that is greater than the frontward-facing surfaces of the other steps.

11 . The exercise block of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of steps comprises a top step, a bottom step, and one or more intermediate steps between the top step and the bottom step.

12 . The exercise block of claim 11 , wherein the top step has a greater depth than the bottom step and the one or more intermediate steps.

13 . The exercise block of claim 11 , wherein the bottom step has a greater height than the top step and the one or more intermediate steps.

14 . The exercise block of claim 1 , further comprising:
 ribs on the back.

15 . The exercise block of claim 14 , wherein the ribs extend across a width of the back.

16 . The exercise block of claim 1 , further comprising:
a second plurality of steps that extend from the back to the top.

17 . An exercise block comprising:
a bottom step formed at a front and bottom of the exercise block; a top stop formed at a top and back of the exercise block; and one or more intermediate steps between the bottom step and the top step.

18 . The exercise block of claim 17 , wherein each of the bottom step, the top step, and the one or more intermediate steps includes a frontward-facing surface and an upward-facing surface.

19 . The exercise block of claim 17 , further comprising:
ribs formed on the back of the exercise block.

20 . An exercise block comprising:
a plurality of steps extending from a front and bottom of the exercise block to a top and back of the exercise block; and ribs formed on the back of the exercise block.
