Abstract
An system and method for improving one's golf game is disclosed. In various embodiments, the method and system includes a software system for measuring golf swings, hits, and analyzing a round of golf. The system and method disclosed herein can work with any number of hardware devices including a cellular phone and various electronic measuring devices.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A system comprising:
one or more processors; and one or more non-transitory computer-readable storage devices storing computing instructions configured to run on the one or more processors and cause the one or more processors to perform:
receiving, from a device within a golf tracking network, a round start signal;
creating, on a web server, a golf round database;
storing, on the device within the golf tracking network, golf shot data;
receiving, from the device within the golf tracking network, a hole advance signal;
uploading a staging table comprising the golf shot data to the web server; and
coordinating displaying, on a mobile electronic device within the golf tracking network, golf round data derived from the golf shot data.
2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the round start signal comprises a distance reading and the device within the golf tracking network comprises a laser device.
3 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the golf shot data is stored on a plurality of devices within the golf tracking network, wherein each device of the plurality of devices records a different datum of the golf shot data.
4 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the staging table comprises a multi-row table.
5 . The system of claim 4 , wherein each row in the multi-row table is generated from a respective distance reading created by a laser device within the golf tracking network.
6 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the staging table is consolidated before the uploading to the web server.
7 . The system of claim 6 , wherein consolidating the staging table comprises deleting rows in the staging table comprising data collected within a predetermined period of time.
8 . A method comprising:
receiving, from a device within a golf tracking network, a round start signal; creating, on a web server, a golf round database; storing, on the device within the golf tracking network, golf shot data; receiving, from the device within the golf tracking network, a hole advance signal; uploading a staging table comprising the golf shot data to the web server; and coordinating displaying, on a mobile electronic device within the golf tracking network, golf round data derived from the golf shot data.
9 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the round start signal comprises a distance reading and the device within the golf tracking network comprises a laser device.
10 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the golf shot data is stored on a plurality of devices within the golf tracking network, wherein each device of the plurality of devices records a different datum of the golf shot data.
11 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the staging table comprises a multi-row table.
12 . The method of claim 11 , wherein each row in the multi-row table is generated from a respective distance reading created by a laser device within the golf tracking network.
13 . The method of claim 8 , wherein the staging table is consolidated before the uploading to the web server.
14 . The method of claim 13 , wherein consolidating the staging table comprises deleting rows in the staging table comprising data collected within a predetermined period of time.
15 . One or more articles of manufacture including one or more non-transitory, tangible computer readable storage mediums having instructions stored thereon that, in response to execution by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform:
receiving, from a device within a golf tracking network, a round start signal; creating, on a web server, a golf round database; storing, on the device within the golf tracking network, golf shot data; receiving, from the device within the golf tracking network, a hole advance signal; uploading a staging table comprising the golf shot data to the web server; and coordinating displaying, on a mobile electronic device within the golf tracking network, golf round data derived from the golf shot data.
16 . The one or more articles of manufacture of claim 15 , wherein the round start signal comprises a distance reading and the device within the golf tracking network comprises a laser device.
17 . The one or more articles of manufacture of claim 15 , wherein the golf shot data is stored on a plurality of devices within the golf tracking network, wherein each device of the plurality of devices records a different datum of the golf shot data.
18 . The one or more articles of manufacture of claim 15 , wherein the staging table comprises a multi-row table.
19 . The one or more articles of manufacture of claim 18 , wherein each row in the multi-row table is generated from a respective distance reading created by a laser device within the golf tracking network.
20 . The one or more articles of manufacture of claim 15 , wherein the staging table is consolidated before the uploading to the web server and wherein consolidating the staging table comprises deleting rows in the staging table comprising data collected within a predetermined period of time.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
