Abstract

A plumbing device used on a commercial grade toilet comprises an ovular shaped lid ( 3 ), spring-loaded locking mechanism comprising of two hollow metal tubes ( 5 ) and ( 7 ) with two C-shaped metal pieces ( 8 ) and ( 9 ), and handles attached to both the ovular shaped lid and spring-loaded locking mechanism, designed to restrict access to the inside of a toilet bowl when the toilet is out of order, and or not ready to be used to prevent any foreign objects or liquids from entering the toilet, and or plumbing system, as this will create a biohazard. The ovular shaped lid is attached to the spring-loaded locking mechanism via an angular hinge ( 11 ) so as to create easy access to the inside of the toilet bowl without having to remove the entire device when access is needed. The handle ( 6 ) is attached to the ovular shaped lid so as to make opening and closing the lid effortless. The same can be said for the handle ( 4 ) attached to the spring-loaded locking mechanism. The L-shaped metal piece with holes ( 2 ) is attached to the ovular shaped lid so as to provide the ability to lock and secure the device via a padlock ( 14 ).

I claim: 
     
         1 . A lockable hinged and spring-loaded toilet cover comprising;
 (a) A sturdy and ridged ovular shaped plastic lid, said sturdy and ridged ovular shaped plastic lid including one hinge receiving element allowing said sturdy and ridged ovular shaped plastic lid to pivot having a longitudinal axis as well as a handle attached to the outer right side of said sturdy and ridged ovular shaped plastic lid;   (b) Two hollow metal tubes, one said hollow metal tube being smaller in diameter than the other allowing said hollow metal tube to slide in such a manner that allows said hollow metal tube to be secured and unsecured via the outward force of a compression spring inserted inside the other hollow metal tube;   (c) A metal bushing, said metal bushing being inserted inside one hollow metal tube to keep the other hollow metal tube from exiting the other;   (d) An L-shaped piece of metal, said L-shaped piece of metal being attached to the right underside of the sturdy and ridged ovular shaped plastic lid via one hinge;   (e) An L-shaped piece of metal with holes, said L-shaped piece of metal with holes being attached to the left underside of the sturdy and ridged ovular shaped plastic lid via two metal rivets.
