Abstract

The reusable ornamental nails for fingers or toes are a device and method in the form of a base connector device that is mateable to a faux-fingernail or toenail for the purpose of adorning a person's fingernails or toenails with removable and reinstall-able faux ornamental and/or artificial fingernails or toenails. There are at least five embodiments of the reusable ornamental nails for fingers or toes having various forms of fitted channels, pins, tabs, threaded, or pressure connectors. At least two of the embodiments are adjustable in position when used on a fingernail or toenail. An advantage of the reusable ornamental nail for finger and toes system is that faux nails can be removed and reused repeatedly in like new condition. Additionally, an advantage of the present invention is the ability to adjust with the rate at which the wearers actual nail grows.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A reusable faux-fingernail device for reusing a faux-fingernail comprising a faux-fingernail having a first length with a first fingernail-bed end across from a first fingertip end, an attachment tab having a first positioning edge across from a second positioning edge further comprising a post having an attachment surface, an attachment base having second length with a second fingernail-bed end across from a second fingertip end comprising a first notch having a first side cavity positioned at a midpoint along said second length, and a second side cavity positioned along said second length across from said first receiving side, wherein said attachment surface is glued to said faux-fingernail positioned to extend said post perpendicular to said faux-fingernail, and said attachment base is glued to a fingernail positioned to enable said faux-fingernail to be rotated clockwise or counterclockwise and positioned enabling said attachment tab to enter said channel until it reaches said first notch wherein said faux-fingernail is counter-rotated positioning said first positioning edge into said first side cavity and said second positioning edge into said second side cavity.

2 . The device of claim 1 wherein said attachment base further comprises a shape with a cuticle to cuticle curvature and a cuticle to fingertip curvature shaped and dimensioned to match said fingernail.

         3 . The device of claim 1 wherein said faux-fingernail is a faux-toenail.

4 . The device of claim 1 wherein said attachment base further comprises a second notch having a third side cavity positioned a first distance away from said first notch along said second length, and a fourth side cavity positioned along said second length across from said third side cavity enabling said faux-fingernail to be rotated clockwise or counterclockwise and moved along said channel until it reaches said second notch wherein said faux-fingernail is counter-rotated positioning said first positioning edge into said third side cavity and said second positioning edge into said fourth side cavity.

5 . The device of claim 4 wherein said attachment base further comprises at least a third notch having a fifth side cavity positioned a second distance away from said first notch and a third distance away from said second notch along said second length, and a sixth side cavity positioned along said second length across from said fifth side cavity enabling said faux-fingernail to be rotated clockwise or counterclockwise and moved along said channel until it reaches said third notch wherein said faux-fingernail is counter-rotated positioning said first positioning edge into said fifth side cavity and said second positioning edge into said sixth side cavity.

6 . The device of claim 1 further comprising an integration of said attachment tab into said faux-fingernail.

7 . A reusable faux-fingernail device for reusing a faux-fingernail comprising a faux-fingernail having a first length comprising an attachment plate having a second length comprising a female slotted channel having a first seating edge, a first seating rail, and a first fingernail-bed end across from a first fingertip end, an attachment base having a third length comprising a male slotted channel having a second seating edge, a second seating rail, and a second fingernail-bed end across from a second fingertip end, wherein said attachment base is glued to a fingernail thereby enabling said female slotted channel to be fitted onto or removed from said male slotted channel wherein said first seating edge mates with said second seating rail and said first seating rail mates with said second seating rail.

8 . The device of claim 7 wherein said attachment base further comprises a shape with a cuticle to cuticle curvature and a cuticle to fingertip curvature dimensioned to match said fingernail.

         9 . The device of claim 7 wherein said faux-fingernail is a faux-toenail.

10 . A reusable faux-fingernail device for reusing a faux-fingernail comprising a faux-fingernail, a faux-fingernail having a first length comprising an attachment plate having a second length comprising a first pin hole, and a second pin hole, an attachment base having a third length comprising a first pin and a second pin, wherein said attachment base is glued to a fingernail thereby enabling an attachment and a removal of said faux-fingernail from said fingernail when said first pin hole is positioned to align with and receive said first pin, and said second pin hole is positioned to align with and receive said second pin.

11 . The device of claim 10 wherein said attachment base further comprises a shape with a cuticle to cuticle curvature and a cuticle to fingertip curvature dimensioned to match said fingernail.

         12 . The device of claim 10 wherein said faux-fingernail is a faux-toenail.

13 . The device of claim 10 wherein there are at least five pin holes and three pins keeping the number of pin holes greater than the number of pins by a quantity of two and arranging said pin holes to receive said pins in at least two positions along said fingernail.

14 . A reusable faux-fingernail device for reusing a faux-fingernail comprising a faux-fingernail having a first length comprising an attachment plate having a second length comprising a female threaded connection ring having a first fingernail-bed end across from a first fingertip end, an attachment base having a third length comprising a male threaded connection ring having a second fingernail-bed end across from a second fingertip end, wherein said attachment base is glued to a fingernail thereby enabling said female slotted channel to be fitted onto or removed from said male slotted channel.
