Hairbrush cover for forming a wave hairstyle
Abstract
A hair styling assembly for forming a wave hairstyle includes a brush comprising a base and a plurality of bristles. Each one of the plurality of bristles is coupled to and extends away from the base and terminates in a free end. The plurality of bristles is positioned on the concave surface, and the free ends of all of the plurality of bristles forming a contour. A cover is removably coupled to the brush. The cover bounds an interior space in which the plurality of bristles and a portion of the base of the brush are positioned. The cover has an engagement wall lying adjacent to the free ends of the plurality of bristles which comprises a flexible material wherein the engagement wall conforms to the contour formed by the free ends of the plurality of bristles.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedI claim:
1 . A hair styling assembly for forming a wave hairstyle, the assembly comprising:
a brush comprising:
a base; and
a plurality of bristles, each of which is coupled to and extends away from the base and terminates in a free end, the plurality of bristles being positioned on the concave surface, the free ends of all of the plurality of bristles forming a contour; and
a cover being removably coupled to the brush, the cover bounding an interior space, the plurality of bristles and a portion of the base of the brush being positioned in the interior space, the cover having an engagement wall lying adjacent to the free ends of the plurality of bristles, the engagement wall comprising a flexible material wherein the engagement wall conforms to the contour formed by the free ends of the plurality of bristles.
2 . The assembly of claim 1 , wherein the base has a pair of ends, the base having a pair of lateral surfaces extending between the pair of ends, the base having a concave surface and a convex surface being positioned opposite each other and extending between the pair of ends and the pair of lateral surfaces.
3 . The assembly of claim 2 , wherein the concave surface curves between the pair of ends.
4 . The assembly of claim 3 , wherein the convex surface curves between the pair of ends and between the pair of lateral sides.
5 . The assembly of claim 2 , wherein the free ends of all of the plurality of bristles are equidistant from the concave surface.
6 . The assembly of claim 2 , wherein each bristle of the plurality of bristles has a length from the base to the free end greater than a thickness of the base between the concave surface and the convex surface.
7 . The assembly of claim 2 , wherein the cover has a perimeter wall being coupled to and extending away from the engagement wall, a distal edge of the perimeter wall defining an aperture to the interior space.
8 . The assembly of claim 7 , wherein the engagement wall and the perimeter wall form a unitary structure.
9 . The assembly of claim 7 , wherein each one of a pair of diametrically opposed portions of the distal edge extend over the convex surface of the base adjacent to an associated one of the pair of ends of the base.
10 . The assembly of claim 9 , wherein each one of a pair of lateral portions of the distal edge extend between the pair of diametrically opposed portions and along an associated one of the pair of lateral surfaces of the base.
11 . The assembly of claim 7 , further comprising a band being coupled to and extending along the distal edge of the perimeter wall of the cover, the band comprising a resiliently elastic material wherein the band resiliently stretches to receive the brush through the aperture.
12 . A hair styling assembly for forming a wave hairstyle, the assembly comprising:
a brush comprising:
a base having a pair of ends, the base having a pair of lateral surfaces extending between the pair of ends, the base having a concave surface and a convex surface being positioned opposite each other and extending between the pair of ends and the pair of lateral surfaces, the concave surface curving between the pair of ends, the convex surface curving between the pair of ends and between the pair of lateral sides; and
a plurality of bristles, each of which is coupled to and extends away from the base and terminates in a free end, the plurality of bristles being positioned on the concave surface, the free ends of all of the plurality of bristles forming a contour, the free ends of all of the plurality of bristles being equidistant from the concave surface, each bristle of the plurality of bristles having a length from the base to the free end greater than a thickness of the base between the concave surface and the convex surface; and
a cover being removably coupled to the brush, the cover bounding an interior space, the plurality of bristles and a portion of the base of the brush being positioned in the interior space, the cover having an engagement wall lying adjacent to the free ends of the plurality of bristles, the engagement wall comprising a flexible material wherein the engagement wall conforms to the contour formed by the free ends of the plurality of bristles, the cover having a perimeter wall being coupled to and extending away from the engagement wall, the engagement wall and the perimeter wall forming a unitary structure, a distal edge of the perimeter wall defining an aperture to the interior space, each one of a pair of diametrically opposed portions of the distal edge extending over the convex surface of the base adjacent to an associated one of the pair of ends of the base, each one of a pair of lateral portions of the distal edge extending between the pair of diametrically opposed portions and along an associated one of the pair of lateral surfaces of the base; and a band being coupled to and extending along the distal edge of the perimeter wall of the cover, the band comprising a resiliently elastic material wherein the band resiliently stretches to receive the brush through the aperture.
13 . A method of forming a wave hairstyle comprising:
attaching a cover to a brush such that an engagement wall of the cover lies adjacent to free ends of a plurality of bristles of the brush, sweeping the engagement wall of the cover against a plurality of curly hairs on a scalp of an individual to urge the plurality of curly hairs to lie adjacent to the scalp of the individual and to extend in a direction of sweeping of the engagement wall of the cover, wherein a curvature of each curly hair of said plurality of curly hairs is decreased but not entirely eliminated such that the plurality of curly hairs forms a wave pattern along the direction of sweeping.
14 . The method of claim 13 , wherein the engagement wall of the cover comprises a flexible material such that the engagement wall conforms to a contour defined by the free ends of the plurality of bristles.
15 . The method of claim 13 , wherein the step of sweeping the engagement wall of the cover against the plurality of curly hairs further comprises sweeping the engagement wall outwardly away from a selected point on the scalp.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
