Abstract

A belt with U-shaped clips keeps a wearer's shirt tail tucked into their bottom garment. The belt with U-shaped clips utilizes a series of U-shaped clips attached to a belt. The U-shaped clips have a bump on one leg of the U-shaped clip that functions in a pincer manner against a second leg of the shirt tail clip to help hold the shirt tail within U-shaped clip. The U-shaped clips are spaced around the belt and are attached to the user's shirt tail and then inverted and rolled up within the shirt. After one or more series of rolls, the wearer then tucks the rolled up tail in the bottom garment and buckles and zips up the bottom garment securing the belt with U-shaped clips and the inverted and rolled shirt tail below the waistline of the bottom garment, keeping the shirt tail from becoming untucked.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

1 . A method for keeping a shirt tail tucked in, the method comprising the steps of:
 (a) positioning a belt around a waist of a wearer and over a shirt tail; (b) receiving a belt tail located on a first end of the belt into a tension lock buckle located on a second end of the belt to tighten the belt loosely; (c) inserting the shirt tail into at least one U-shaped clip that is attached to the belt; (d) tightening the belt via the tension lock buckle to a desired tightness around the waist of the wearer; (e) inverting and rolling the belt inward at least once around the waist to fold the shirt tail onto itself all the way around the waist of the wearer; (f) pulling a bottom garment up and over the belt with the shirt tail folded onto itself; (g) tucking the belt with the shirt tail folded onto itself into the bottom garment; and (h) securing the bottom garment around the waist of the wearer with a securing mechanism of the bottom garment keeping the belt with the shirt tail folded onto itself below the waist of the bottom garment and out of sight.

2 . The method according to claim 1 wherein the inserting step (c) further comprises the steps of:
inserting the shirt tail into two U-shaped clips located on a front side of the belt and on either side of the tension lock buckle; and
inserting the shirt tail into two U-shaped clips located on a back side of the belt and spaced a distance apart.

3 . The method according to claim 1 wherein the tightening step (d) further comprises the steps of:
securing the belt tail into a slip keeper attached to the belt.

4 . The method according to claim 1 wherein the inverting and rolling step (e) further comprises the steps of:
inverting and rolling the belt one or more times around the waist based on the length of the shirt tail.

5 . An apparatus for keeping a shirt tail tucked in, the apparatus comprising:
a belt; at least one U-shaped clip attached to the belt, the at least one U-shaped clip comprising:
 a first leg having a bump on an interior surface of the first leg;
a second leg having an interior surface configured to engage with the bump of the first leg that crimps the shirt tail inserted between the first leg and the second leg between the bump on the interior surface of the first leg and the interior surface of the second leg.

6 . The apparatus for keeping a shirt tail tucked in according to claim 5 wherein the at least one U-shaped clip further comprises:
a shirt tail opening between the first leg and the second leg for receiving the shirt tail therein.

7 . The apparatus for keeping a shirt tail tucked in according to claim 5 wherein the at least one U-shaped clip further comprises:
a belt opening within the second leg of the at least one U-shaped clip, the belt opening configured to receive the belt therethrough.

8 . The apparatus for keeping a shirt tail tucked in according to claim 7 wherein the belt further comprises:
a belt tail on a first end of the belt that is inserted into the belt opening within the second leg of the at least one U-shaped clip.

9 . The apparatus for keeping a shirt tail tucked in according to claim 8 wherein the belt further comprises:
a tension lock buckle attached to a second end of the belt for receiving belt tail of the belt threaded therethrough.

10 . The apparatus for keeping a shirt tail tucked in according to claim 9 further comprising:
a slip keeper attached to the belt, wherein the slip keeper further comprises:
a slip keeper belt opening for receiving the belt; and
a slip keeper belt tail opening for receiving the belt tail of the belt.
