Abstract

A reflector device that is an improved private property line marker comprised of a slide-over, reflective device for property fences. The reflector device comprises a body component that is configured in multiple shapes and configurations, such as square, circular, cross-shaped, triangular, etc., with a hollow interior cavity, allowing the body component to be slid over a fence post, wire, stake, etc. Further, the body component can also be configured in a flat design, allowing the device to be secured to a tree or other object. The device can be adapted for use with any boundary marker and may be any color but is preferably purple or orange. Furthermore, a purple or orange reflective material is applied to the body component. Thus, the device would be visible in at least two directions, and up to four directions.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

1 . A reflector device that provides a user with visible property line markers to identify a property line, the reflector device comprising:
a body component; wherein the body component comprises a hollow interior cavity, allowing the body component to be slid over a fence post; and further wherein the body component comprises a reflective material which gives the body component visibility, especially in low light conditions.

2 . The reflector device of claim 1 , wherein the body component is configured in multiple shapes and configurations, such as square, circular, cylindrical, cross-shaped, or triangular.

3 . The reflector device of claim 2 , wherein the body component is a slender, rod-like design which mimics a fence post.

4 . The reflector device of claim 3 , wherein the body component comprises open, opposing ends, that allow access to the hollow, interior cavity.

5 . The reflector device of claim 4 , wherein the body component comprises an exterior surface and an interior surface.

6 . The reflector device of claim 5 , wherein the body component is sized and shaped to slidingly receive a fence post, rail, slat or stake, and to prevent rotational movement of the body component relative to the fence post, rail slat or stake.

7 . The reflector device of claim 6 , wherein the body component is covered completely over its exterior surface with a layer of the reflective material.

8 . The reflector device of claim 7 , wherein the reflective material comprises a reflective medium, glass, paint, or vinyl.

9 . The reflector device of claim 8 , wherein the reflective material is purple or orange.

10 . The reflector device of claim 9 , wherein the body component is friction fit on the fence post, allowing for easy insertion and removal.

11 . The reflector device of claim 9 , wherein the body component is secured to the fence post via a bolt which is received by a laterally extending through bore.

12 . The reflector device of claim 9 , wherein the body component comprises a slit that extends a length of the body component from end to end, users would grasp edges of the slit and pull apart to wrap around the fence post.

13 . The reflector device of claim 12 , wherein the body component is configured in a long, flat rectangular strip that is secured to an exterior of a tree.

14 . A reflector device that provides a user with visible property line markers to identify a property line, the reflector device comprising:
a body component comprising an exterior surface and an interior surface; and wherein the body component is configured in multiple shapes and configurations, such as square, circular, cylindrical, cross-shaped, or triangular; wherein the body component comprises a hollow interior cavity, allowing the body component to be slid over a fence post, rail, slat or stake, and to prevent rotational movement of the body component relative to the fence post, rail, slat or stake; wherein the body component comprises open, opposing ends, that allow access to the hollow, interior cavity; wherein the body component comprises a reflective material which gives the body component visibility, especially in low light conditions; wherein the body component is covered completely over its exterior surface with a layer of the reflective material; wherein the reflective material is purple or orange; and further wherein the body component is friction fit on the fence post, rail, slat or stake, allowing for easy insertion and removal.

15 . The reflector device of claim 14 wherein the body component can be hung from a tree via a wire.

16 . The reflector device of claim 14 , wherein the reflective material comprises a reflective medium, glass, paint, or vinyl.

17 . The reflector device of claim 14 , wherein the body component comprises a slit that extends a length of the body component from end to end, users would grasp edges of the slit and pull apart to wrap around the fence post.

18 . The reflector device of claim 14 , wherein the body component is configured in a long, flat rectangular strip that is secured to an exterior of a tree.

19 . The reflector device of claim 14 , wherein the body component is secured to the fence post via a bolt which is received by a laterally extending through bore.

20 . A method of identifying property lines via visible property line markers, the method comprising the following steps:
providing a reflector device comprising a body component with a hollow interior cavity and comprising a purple or orange reflective material; choosing a specific configuration for the reflector device based on the shape of the fence post to be used; sliding the specific configuration of the reflector device over at least one fence post; and securing the reflector device to a tree or other object.
