Cutlery Carrying Case Assembly

Abstract

A cutlery carrying case assembly includes a case that has a box portion defining a storage space and a lid hingedly coupled to the box portion for closing the storage space and the lid has a plurality of slots is integrated into the lid. A knife holder is positioned in the box portion of the case and the knife holder has a plurality of storage cuts each extending into the knife holder. A plurality of chef's knives is each insertable into a respective one of the storage cuts in the knife holder for storing the plurality of chef's knives. A plurality of kitchen knives is each insertable into a respective one of the slots in the lid for storage. A cutting board is positionable on top of the plurality of chef's knives when the plurality of chef's knives is stored in the knife holder.

I claim: 
     
         1 . A cutlery carrying case assembly for securely transporting cutlery and a cutting board, said assembly comprising:
 a case having a box portion defining a storage space and a lid hingedly coupled to said box portion for closing said storage space, said lid having a plurality of slots being integrated into said lid;   a storage box being attached to said lid for storing kitchen utensils;   a knife holder being positioned in said box portion of said case, said knife holder having a plurality of storage cuts each extending into said knife holder;   a plurality of chef's knives, a blade of each of said plurality of chef's knives being insertable into a respective one of said storage cuts in said knife holder for storing said plurality of chef's knives;   a plurality of kitchen knives, a blade of each of said plurality of kitchen knives being insertable into a respective one of said slots in said lid for storage; and   a cutting board being positionable on top of said plurality of chef's knives when said plurality of chef's knives is stored in said knife holder.   
     
     
         2 . The assembly according to  claim 1 , wherein:
 said box portion has a bottom wall and a perimeter wall extending upwardly from said bottom wall, said perimeter wall having a front side, a back side and a top edge defining an opening into said storage space;   said lid has a top wall and an outer wall extending downwardly from said top wall, said outer wall having a forward side, a rear side and a lower edge;   said lower edge corresponding to said rear side being hingedly coupled to said top edge of said perimeter wall of said box portion corresponding to said back side of said perimeter wall, said lower edge resting on said top edge when said lid is closed; and   said top wall of said lid has a plurality of slots each being integrated into a bottom surface of said top wall of said lid, said slots being spaced apart from each other and being distributed from a first lateral side of said outer wall of said lid toward a second lateral side of said outer wall of said lid.

The assembly according to  claim 2 , wherein said box portion has an inner wall extending upwardly from a top surface of said bottom wall, said inner wall being spaced from said perimeter wall having said inner wall extending around a full perimeter of said perimeter wall, said inner wall having an upper edge being spaced downwardly from said top edge of said perimeter wall. 
     
     
         4 . The assembly according to  claim 3 , further comprising a lid support having a first member being pivotally coupled to a second member, a first end of said first member being attached to said second lateral side of said perimeter wall of said box portion, a first end of said second member being attached to said first lateral side of said outer wall of said lid, said lid support collapsing when said lid is closed, said lid support being extended between said lid and said box portion when said lid is opened. 
     
     
         5 . The assembly according to  claim 2 , wherein said storage box has a forward wall and a lateral wall being perpendicularly oriented with said forward wall, a rear edge of said lateral wall being attached to said bottom surface of said top wall of said lid, said lateral edge of said forward wall being attached to an inwardly facing surface of a second lateral side of said outer wall of said lid, said forward wall being spaced from said bottom surface of said top wall of said lid to define an opening into said storage box, said storage box being positioned between said plurality of slots in said bottom surface of said top wall and said second lateral side of said outer wall of said lid. 
     
     
         6 . The assembly according to  claim 3 , wherein:
 said knife holder has a first wall intersecting a second wall, each of said first wall and said second wall being attached to and angling upwardly from said top surface of said bottom wall of said box portion such that an intersection between said first wall and said second wall defines a peak;   each of said first wall and said second wall extends between a front side and a back side of said inner wall in said box portion, said knife holder being positioned closer to a first lateral side of said inner wall than a second lateral side of said inner wall; and   each of said storage cuts extends through said first wall and said second wall, said storage cuts being spaced apart from each other and being distributed between said front side and said back side of said perimeter wall.   
     
     
         7 . The assembly according to  claim 2 , further comprising:
 a pair of combination locks, each of said combination locks being attached to an outer surface of said perimeter wall of said box portion, each of said combination locks being positioned on said front side of said perimeter wall, each of said combination locks being positioned proximate a respective one of a first lateral side and a second lateral side of said perimeter wall of said box portion; and   a pair of latches, each of said latches being coupled to an outer surface of said outer wall of said lid, each of said latches being oriented such that each of said pair of latches is aligned with a respective one of said combination locks, each of said latches engaging said respective combination lock when said lid is closed for locking said lid in a closed position, each of said combination locks being actuatable into an unlocked condition when a pre-determined combination is entered into said combination locks thereby disengaging said latches to facilitate said lid to be opened.   
     
     
         8 . The assembly according to  claim 7 , further comprising a handle having a central member extending between a pair of outward members each being perpendicularly oriented to said central member, a distal end of each of said outward members being pivotally coupled to said outer surface of said perimeter wall of said box portion corresponding to said front side of said perimeter wall thereby facilitating said central member to be gripped for carrying said case, said handle being centrally positioned between said pair of combination locks.

The assembly according to  claim 3 , wherein a lower surface of said cutting board rests on said upper edge of said inner wall having a top surface of said cutting board being spaced downwardly from said top edge of said perimeter wall of said box portion thereby facilitating said lid to be closed. 
     
     
         10 . A cutlery carrying case assembly for securely transporting cutlery and a cutting board, said assembly comprising:
 a case having a box portion defining a storage space and a lid hingedly coupled to said box portion for closing said storage space, said box portion having a bottom wall and a perimeter wall extending upwardly from said bottom wall, said perimeter wall having a front side, a back side and a top edge defining an opening into said storage space, said lid having a top wall and an outer wall extending downwardly from said top wall, said outer wall having a forward side, a rear side and a lower edge, said lower edge corresponding to said rear side being hingedly coupled to said top edge of said perimeter wall of said box portion corresponding to said back side of said perimeter wall, said lower edge resting on said top edge when said lid is closed, said top wall of said lid having a plurality of slots each being integrated into a bottom surface of said top wall of said lid, said slots being spaced apart from each other and being distributed from a first lateral side of said outer wall of said lid toward a second lateral side of said outer wall of said lid, said box portion having an inner wall extending upwardly from a top surface of said bottom wall, said inner wall being spaced from said perimeter wall having said inner wall extending around a full perimeter of said perimeter wall, said inner wall having an upper edge being spaced downwardly from said top edge of said perimeter wall;   a lid support having a first member being pivotally coupled to a second member, a first end of said first member being attached to said second lateral side of said perimeter wall of said box portion, a first end of said second member being attached to said first lateral side of said outer wall of said lid, said lid support collapsing when said lid is closed, said lid support being extended between said lid and said box portion when said lid is opened;   a storage box being attached to said lid for storing kitchen utensils, said storage box having a forward wall and a lateral wall being perpendicularly oriented with said forward wall, a rear edge of said lateral wall being attached to said bottom surface of said top wall of said lid, said lateral edge of said forward wall being attached to an inwardly facing surface of a second lateral side of said outer wall of said lid, said forward wall being spaced from said bottom surface of said top wall of said lid to define an opening into said storage box, said storage box being positioned between said plurality of slots in said bottom surface of said top wall and said second lateral side of said outer wall of said lid;   a knife holder being positioned in said box portion of said case, said knife holder having a plurality of storage cuts each extending into said knife holder, said knife holder having a first wall intersecting a second wall, each of said first wall and said second wall being attached to and angling upwardly from said top surface of said bottom wall of said box portion such that an intersection between said first wall and said second wall defines a peak, each of said first wall and said second wall extending between a front side and a back side of said inner wall in said box portion, said knife holder being positioned closer to a first lateral side of said inner wall than a second lateral side of said inner wall, each of said storage cuts extending through said first wall and said second wall, said storage cuts being spaced apart from each other and being distributed between said front side and said back side of said perimeter wall;   a pair of combination locks, each of said combination locks being attached to an outer surface of said perimeter wall of said box portion, each of said combination locks being positioned on said front side of said perimeter wall, each of said combination locks being positioned proximate a respective one of a first lateral side and a second lateral side of said perimeter wall of said box portion;   a pair of latches, each of said latches being coupled to an outer surface of said outer wall of said lid, each of said latches being oriented such that each of said pair of latches is aligned with a respective one of said combination locks, each of said latches engaging said respective combination lock when said lid is closed for locking said lid in a closed position, each of said combination locks being actuatable into an unlocked condition when a pre-determined combination is entered into said combination locks thereby disengaging said latches to facilitate said lid to be opened;   a handle having a central member extending between a pair of outward members each being perpendicularly oriented to said central member, a distal end of each of said outward members being pivotally coupled to said outer surface of said perimeter wall of said box portion corresponding to said front side of said perimeter wall thereby facilitating said central member to be gripped for carrying said case, said handle being centrally positioned between said pair of combination locks;   a plurality of chef's knives, a blade of each of said plurality of chef's knives being insertable into a respective one of said storage cuts in said knife holder for storing said plurality of chef's knives;   a plurality of kitchen knives, a blade of each of said plurality of kitchen knives being insertable into a respective one of said slots in said bottom surface of said top wall of said lid for storage having a handle associated with each of said plurality of kitchen knives being exposed; and   a cutting board being positionable on top of said plurality of chef's knives when said plurality of chef's knives is stored in said knife holder, a lower surface of said cutting board resting on said upper edge of said inner wall having a top surface of said cutting board being spaced downwardly from said top edge of said perimeter wall of said box portion thereby facilitating said lid to be closed.
