Abstract

A vacuum cleaner including: a suctioning unit; a main body including a cyclone part for separating dust from suctioned air and a dust container for storing the separated dust, and a body cover for opening and closing the lower side of the body; a filter unit, disposed in the body, for filtering air separated from the dust; an actuating unit capable of moving in the body between the outside of the filter unit and the inner circumference surface of the body; an operating unit disposed outside the body which operates in order to move the actuating unit; a transmission unit penetrating the body and connecting the actuating unit with the operating unit; and an elastic member disposed outside the body which elastically supports the operating unit.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . A cleaner comprising:
 a main body including:
 a suction part;
 a body comprising:
 a first cyclone part configured to separate dust from air suctioned through the suction part;
 a second cyclone part configured to separate dust from air discharged from the first cyclone part;
 a dust container configured to store the dust separated by the first and second cyclone parts; and
 a body cover configured to open or close a lower portion of the body;
   a filter part disposed in the body and configured to filter air that is separated from the dust in the first cyclone part; a movable part configured to move along a space between an outer portion of the filter part and an inner circumference surface of the body; a handle part coupled to the main body, the handle part comprising a handle body; a manipulation part disposed outside the main body and configured to move the movable part, wherein the manipulation part is configured to be moved independently of the handle part; a transfer part passing through the main body and coupled to the movable part to transfer a manipulation force of the manipulation part to the movable part; and an elastic member configured to provide an elastic force to the manipulation part and disposed outside the body.

         2 . The cleaner of claim 1 , wherein a portion of the elastic member is disposed at a lateral side of the body in a state in which the manipulation part is manipulated, the center axis of the cyclonic flow of the first cyclone part is arranged along the vertical direction and the body cover is positioned at the lower side of the first and second cyclone parts.

         3 . The cleaner of claim 2 , wherein the portion of the elastic member is disposed at a lateral side of the second cyclone part in a state in which the manipulation part is manipulated, the center axis of the cyclonic flow of the first cyclone part is arranged along the vertical direction and the body cover is positioned at the lower side of the first and second cyclone parts.

         4 . The cleaner of claim 3 , wherein the portion of the elastic member is disposed at a lateral side of the second cyclone part at a manipulation standby position of the manipulation part.

         5 . The cleaner of claim 2 , wherein the portion of the elastic member is disposed at a lateral side of the dust container in a state in which the manipulation part is manipulated, the center axis of the cyclonic flow of the first cyclone part is arranged along the vertical direction and the body cover is positioned at the lower side of the first and second cyclone parts.

         6 . The cleaner of claim 1 , wherein the elastic member is disposed outside the first cyclone part and at a lateral side of the first cyclone part in a state in which the center axis of the cyclonic flow of the first cyclone part is arranged along the vertical direction and the body cover is positioned at the lower side of the first and second cyclone parts.

         7 . The cleaner of claim 1 , wherein the elastic member is configured to contact one surface of the manipulation part.

         8 . The cleaner of claim 1 , wherein the elastic member comprises a coil spring and moves in a direction parallel to the center axis of a cyclonic flow of the first cyclone part.

         9 . The cleaner of claim 8 , further comprising a bar located in a space defined by the coil spring.

         10 . The cleaner of claim 8 , wherein the bar is coupled to the manipulation part.

         11 . The cleaner of claim 8 , wherein the bar is disposed at a lateral side of the dust container and the filter part in a state in which the center axis of the cyclonic flow of the first cyclone part is arranged along the vertical direction and the body cover is positioned at the lower side of the first and second cyclone parts.

         12 . The cleaner of claim 1 , further comprising an extension body configured to define a space for accommodating the elastic member.

         13 . The cleaner of claim 12 , wherein the extension body is configured to move upward and downward together with the manipulation part.

         14 . The cleaner of claim 1 , further comprising a cover body configured to surround at least a portion of the elastic member.

         15 . The cleaner of claim 14 , the cover body includes an elastic member supporting surface on which one end of the elastic member is disposed.

         16 . The cleaner of claim 1 , wherein the transfer part is spaced apart from the elastic member in a horizontal direction and disposed outside the elastic member.

         17 . The cleaner of claim 1 , further comprising a suction motor to generate suction force,
 wherein at a manipulation standby position of the manipulation part, a portion of the elastic member and a portion of the suction motor lie in a same plane.

         18 . The cleaner of claim 17 , wherein the suction motor is disposed at an upper side of the second cyclone part.

         19 . The cleaner of claim 1 , wherein at a manipulation standby position of the manipulation part, an upper end of the elastic member is positioned higher than the second cyclone part.
