Abstract
A stepped trailing edge bullet, the stepped trailing edge bullet is disclosed. The stepped trailing edge bullet includes a body cylinder; a leading edge of the stepped trailing edge bullet positioned proximate to a first end of the body cylinder; and a trailing edge of the stepped trailing edge bullet positioned proximate to a second end of the body cylinder opposite the leading edge of stepped trailing edge bullet, where more than one stepped concentric indentations are formed upon the trailing edge of the stepped trailing edge bullet.The disclosed stepped trailing edge bullet creates the maximum velocity obtainable while at the same time providing the maximum aerodynamic shape possible for a bullet in flight.

1 . A stepped trailing edge bullet, the stepped trailing edge bullet comprising:
a body cylinder; a leading edge of the stepped trailing edge bullet positioned proximate to a first end of the body cylinder; and a trailing edge of the stepped trailing edge bullet positioned proximate to a second end of the body cylinder opposite the leading edge of stepped trailing edge bullet, where more than one stepped concentric indentations are formed upon the trailing edge of the stepped trailing edge bullet.

The stepped trailing edge bullet of claim 1 , where the trailing edge of the stepped trailing edge bullet comprises a first trailing edge end located proximate to the second end of the body cylinder and a second trailing edge end located distal to the second end of the body cylinder, where the more than one stepped concentric indentations are formed with a descending radius from a longitudinal axis of the trailing edge beginning at the first trailing edge end.
3 . The stepped trailing edge bullet of claim 2 , where the more than one stepped concentric indentations have a greatest radius from the longitudinal axis at the first trailing edge end, decreasing to a least radius from the longitudinal axis at the second trailing edge end.
4 . The stepped trailing edge bullet of claim 1 , where the more than one stepped concentric indentations have a linear descending profile along the trailing edge.
5 . The stepped trailing edge bullet of claim 1 , where the more than one stepped concentric indentations have a curvilinear descending profile along the trailing edge.
6 . A article of manufacture comprising:
a body cylinder; a cylindrically symmetrical leading edge portion of the article of manufacture positioned proximate to a first end of the body cylinder; and a cylindrically symmetrical trailing edge of the article of manufacture positioned proximate to a second end of the body cylinder opposite the cylindrically symmetrical leading edge portion of the article of manufacture, where more than one stepped concentric indentations are formed upon the cylindrically symmetrical trailing edge of the article of manufacture.

The article of manufacture of claim 1 , where cylindrically symmetrical trailing edge of the article of manufacture comprises a first trailing edge end located proximate to the second end of the body cylinder and a second trailing edge end located distal to the second end of the body cylinder, where the more than one stepped concentric indentations are formed with a descending radius from a longitudinal axis of the cylindrically symmetrical trailing edge of the article of manufacture beginning at the first trailing edge end.
8 . The article of manufacture of claim 2 , where the more than one stepped concentric indentations have a greatest radius from the longitudinal axis at the first trailing edge end, decreasing to a least radius from the longitudinal axis at the second trailing edge end.
9 . The article of manufacture of claim 1 , where the more than one stepped concentric indentations have a linear descending profile along the cylindrically symmetrical trailing edge.
10 . The article of manufacture of claim 1 , where the more than one stepped concentric indentations have a curvilinear descending profile along the cylindrically symmetrical trailing edge.
11 . A method of forming a stepped trailing edge bullet, the method comprising:
forming a body cylinder; forming a leading edge of the stepped trailing edge bullet positioned proximate to a first end of the body cylinder; forming a trailing edge of the stepped trailing edge bullet positioned proximate to a second end of the body cylinder opposite the leading edge of stepped trailing edge bullet; forming more than one stepped concentric indentations are formed upon the trailing edge of the stepped trailing edge bullet.

The method of claim 11 , where forming the trailing edge of the stepped trailing edge bullet comprises forming a first trailing edge end located proximate to the second end of the body cylinder and a second trailing edge end located distal to the second end of the body cylinder, further comprising forming the more than one stepped concentric indentations with a descending radius from a longitudinal axis of the trailing edge beginning at the first trailing edge end.

The method of claim 12 , where forming the more than one stepped concentric indentations comprises forming the more than one stepped concentric indentations with a greatest radius from the longitudinal axis at the first trailing edge end, decreasing to a least radius from the longitudinal axis at the second trailing edge end.
14 . The method of claim 11 , where forming the more than one stepped concentric indentations comprises forming the more than one stepped concentric indentations with a linear descending profile along the trailing edge.
