Bow sight ancillary distance marker attachment

Abstract

The present invention comprises an apparatus for attachment to the rotatable vertical elevation adjuster used on vertically adjustable bow sights. The bow sight ancillary distance marker attachment provides a semi-smooth surface on the exterior to attach a tape for elevation markings that corresponds to a particular projectile's unique characteristics. The bow sight ancillary distance marker attachment is secured with a set screw inserted into an opening with molded threading corresponding to the thread size and pitch of the set screw; or when manufactured from pliable material the bow sight ancillary distance marker attachment is held in place by friction.

The bow sight ancillary distance marker attachment temporarily attaches to the vertical adjustment wheel of a bow sight allowing for the placement or attachment of marking material (e.g. vinyl tape) or directly marking on the bow sight ancillary distance marker attachment enabling the operator to utilize projectiles of different configurations without the necessity of changing or adding distance markings to the existing vertical adjustment wheel of the bows sight.
