Resistance Band Push-Up Device

Abstract

A resistance band push-up device is provided. The device is comprised of at least one base with at least one attachable resistance band. During use, two bases are used, such that a first end of the band is attached to the first base and the second end of the band attaches to the second base. Then, a user can perform a push-up with the resistance band around their back/shoulders, such that the band provides resistance in the upward portion of the push-up movement.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A resistance band push-up device comprising:
 a base;   a handle;   a first fastener;   a resistance band comprised of a first end and a second end;   a second fastener positioned on the first end; and   a third fastener positioned on the second end.   
     
     
         2 . The resistance band push-up device of  claim 1 , wherein the first fastener is comprised of an opening. 
     
     
         3 . The resistance band push-up device of  claim 1 , wherein the second fastener is comprised of a clip. 
     
     
         4 . The resistance band push-up device of  claim 1 , wherein the third fastener is comprised of a clip. 
     
     
         5 . The resistance band push-up device of  claim 1 , wherein the resistance band is comprised of an elastic material. 
     
     
         6 . The resistance band push-up device of  claim 1 , wherein the first fastener is comprised of a hook, a bar, an opening, a magnet, or a threaded opening. 
     
     
         7 . The resistance band push-up device of  claim 1 , wherein the handle attaches to the base via a vertical frame member. 
     
     
         8 . The resistance band push-up device of  claim 1 , wherein the handle is comprised of a cylindrical handle. 
     
     
         9 . A resistance band push-up device comprising:
 a base;   a handle having a grip;   a first fastener;   a resistance band comprised of a first end and a second end;   a second fastener positioned on the first end; and   a third fastener positioned on the second end.   
     
     
         10 . The resistance band push-up device of  claim 9 , wherein a bottom surface of the base is comprised of a non-slip material. 
     
     
         11 . The resistance band push-up device of  claim 10 , wherein the non-slip material is comprised of a textured rubber. 
     
     
         12 . The resistance band push-up device of  claim 9 , wherein the grip is comprised of a non-slip material. 
     
     
         13 . The resistance band push-up device of  claim 12 , wherein the non-slip material is comprised of a textured rubber. 
     
     
         14 . The resistance band push-up device of  claim 9 , wherein the handle is comprised of a contoured handle. 
     
     
         15 . The resistance band push-up device of  claim 9 , wherein the first fastener and the second fastener are comprised of a pair of reciprocating fasteners. 
     
     
         16 . The resistance band push-up device of  claim 9 , wherein the first fastener and the third fastener are comprised of a pair of reciprocating fasteners. 
     
     
         17 . The resistance band push-up device of  claim 9 , wherein the first fastener is comprised of a hook, a bar, an opening, a magnet, or a threaded opening. 
     
     
         18 . The resistance band push-up device of  claim 9 , wherein the resistance band is comprised of a 5 lb. resistance band. 
     
     
         19 . A method of using a resistance band push-up device, the method comprising the following steps:
 providing a resistance band push-up device comprised of a first base and a first resistance band that attaches to the base;   placing a first resistance band push-up device and a second resistance band push-up device on a ground surface;   attaching the first resistance band to the first base and a second base of the second resistance band push-up device;   positioning a user in a push-up position, wherein the first resistance band is positioned around a back area and a shoulder area of the user and wherein the user grabs a first handle of the first base and a second handle of the second base; and   performing a push-up.   
     
     
         20 . The method of  claim 19  further comprised of a step of attaching a second resistance band to each of the first base of the first resistance band push-up device and to the second base of the second resistance band push-up device.
