All ages push-up

Abstract

An exercise apparatus made of right plastic that is foldable to a size half in length for easy portability and storage. The device folds from the center and holes are provided on both sides for hanging. The device includes six vertical grips that can be accessed, with adjacent rectangle holes for the fingers of the user. These grips are made smooth for comfort. For better stability and support and to prevent the fingers from touching the ground, several stands or feet are placed at the bottom.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A portable, foldable exercise apparatus comprising:
 a main body, said main body having a top face, a bottom face, and four side faces;   a hinge in the center of said main body;   a plurality of apertures between said top face and said bottom face of said main body;   a plurality of feet extending downward from said bottom face of said main body; and   at least one hole proximate one end of said top face of said main body portion.   
     
     
         2 . The portable, foldable exercise apparatus as defined in  claim 1  wherein said plurality of apertures are between 2-4 inches wide. 
     
     
         3 . The portable, foldable exercise apparatus as defined in  claim 1  wherein said plurality of apertures are separated from each other by at least 2 inches. 
     
     
         4 . The portable, foldable exercise apparatus as defined in  claim 1  wherein a distance between said top face of said main body portion and a bottom of said plurality of feet is at least 4 inches. 
     
     
         5 . A method of performing a push up comprising the steps of:
 acquiring a portable, foldable exercise apparatus, said portable, foldable exercise apparatus further comprising:
 a main body, said main body having a top face, a bottom face, and four side faces; 
 a hinge in the center of said main body; 
 a plurality of apertures between said top face and said bottom face of said main body; 
 a plurality of feet extending downward from said bottom face of said main body; and 
 at least one hole proximate one end of said top face of said main body portion; 
   placing said portable, foldable exercise apparatus on the ground such that said plurality of feet are contacting the ground;   positioning a user on said portable, foldable exercise apparatus such that a user's fingers are placed through said plurality of apertures between said top face and said bottom face of said main body; and   performing a push up without said user's fingers contacting the ground.   
     
     
         6 . The method as defined in  claim 5  further comprising the step of folding said portable, foldable exercise apparatus at said hinge in the center of said main body. 
     
     
         7 . The method as defined in  claim 6  further comprising the step of hanging said portable, foldable exercise apparatus on a wall at said at least one hole. 
     
     
         8 . The method as defined in  claim 5  wherein said plurality of apertures are between 2-4 inches wide. 
     
     
         9 . The method as defined in  claim 5  wherein said plurality of apertures are separated from each other by at least 2 inches. 
     
     
         10 . The method as defined in  claim 5  wherein a distance between said top face of said main body portion and a bottom of said plurality of feet is at least 4 inches.
