Abstract

A magnetic tool that has a handle with an upper portion and a lower portion and a brush head attached to the upper portion of the handle. A magnetic element is disposed in the lower portion of the handle that exerts a magnetic attraction force between the magnetic tool and an accompanying magnetic base. Various drip trays allow for the drainage or collection of fluid from the brush.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . A magnetic tool assembly, comprising:
 a magnetic tool having:
 a handle with an upper portion and a lower portion;
 a functional tool head attached to the upper portion of the handle; and
 a magnetic element disposed in the lower portion of the handle that exerts a magnetic attraction force; and
   a magnetic base having a recessed central portion and a raised outer portion surrounding the recessed central portion, and that attaches to the magnetic tool through the magnetic attraction force.

         2 . The magnetic tool assembly of claim 1 , wherein the raised outer portion includes a sloped edge portion so that fluid flows out of the recessed central portion.

         3 . The magnetic tool assembly of claim 2 , wherein the magnetic base is circular.

         4 . The magnetic tool assembly of claim 2 , wherein the magnetic base is oval.

         5 . The magnetic tool assembly of claim 1 , wherein the raised outer portion is uniform and concentric around the recessed central portion such that fluid is captured within the recessed central portion.

         6 . The magnetic tool assembly of claim 5 , wherein the magnetic base is circular.

         7 . The magnetic tool assembly of claim 5 , wherein the magnetic base is oval.

         8 . The magnetic tool assembly of claim 1 , wherein the magnetic base has a magnetic element embedded therein.

         9 . The magnetic tool assembly of claim 1 , wherein the magnetic element is a magnet.

         10 . The magnetic tool assembly of claim 1 , wherein the magnetic element is a ferromagnetic material.

         11 . A magnetic tool assembly, comprising:
 a tool having:
 a handle with an upper portion and a lower portion;
 a functional tool head attached to the upper portion of the handle; and
 a first magnetic element disposed in the lower portion of the handle; and
   a magnetic base that has a liquid run-off channel disposed thereon, and a second magnetic element disposed therein, wherein a magnetic attraction force is generated to attract the first magnetic element of the tool to the magnetic base.

         12 . The magnetic tool assembly of claim 11 , further comprising a magnet housing encasing the magnetic element.

         13 . The magnetic tool assembly of claim 11 , wherein the magnetic base further comprises a magnetic attachment surface embedded in a housing.

         14 . The magnetic tool assembly of claim 13 , wherein the housing is made of silicone.

         15 . The magnetic tool assembly of claim 11 , wherein the magnetic base has a fastener for securing the magnetic base to a surface.

         16 . A magnetic tool assembly, comprising:
 a frame comprising:
 a base portion;
 a pair of vertical side walls projecting perpendicularly from the base portion;
 a top portion connecting the pair of vertical side walls; and
 a first magnetic element disposed within the top portion;
   a tool having a handle and a functional tool head, wherein the handle contains a second magnetic element; wherein a magnetic attraction force is generated to attract the first magnetic element to the second magnetic element such that the tool is suspended upside down with the handle attached to the top portion of the frame.

         17 . The magnetic tool assembly of claim 16 , further comprising a plurality of magnetic elements disposed within the top portion of the frame.

         18 . The magnetic tool assembly of claim 17 , further comprising a plurality of tools suspended from the top portion of the frame.

         19 . The magnetic tool assembly of claim 18 , wherein each of the tools has a handle with a magnetic element disposed therein, such that each tool is magnetically suspended from the top portion of the frame.

         20 . The magnetic tool assembly of claim 19 , wherein each of the functional tool heads of each of the suspended tools is suspended above and does not contact the base portion.
