Abstract
A garment in the form of a removable bra pad incorporating a support structure is disclosed. A garment designed to be placed inside the cups of a bra to provide additional coverage, support, or shaping and to be easily removed and reinserted in the bra includes a bra pad and a support structure having a cord-like material attached to the perimeter of the bra pad.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
. A garment designed to be placed inside the cups of a bra to provide additional coverage, support, or shaping and to be easily removed and reinserted in the bra comprising:
a bra pad; and a support structure comprising a cord-like material attached to the perimeter of the bra pad.
. The garment of claim 1 , wherein the length of the cord-like material is substantially equal to the perimeter of the pad such that the cord-like material runs on the perimeter of the pad creating a substantially closed loop around the perimeter of the pad.
. The garment of claim 1 , wherein the cord-like material is attached to the outer surface of the pad.
. The garment of claim 1 , wherein the cord-like material is attached to the inner surface of the pad.
. The garment of claim 1 , wherein the bra pad comprises a first layer and a second layer and the cord-like material is sandwiched between the first layer and the second layer.
. The garment of claim 1 , wherein the support structure further comprises a casing having a channel for holding the cord-like material therein.
. The garment of claim 6 , wherein the casing is attached to the outer surface of the pad.
. The garment of claim 6 , wherein the casing is attached to the inner surface of the pad.
. The garment of claim 1 , wherein the cord-like material comprises a wire substantially round or cylindrical in shape.
. The garment of claim 9 , wherein the wire is a heat-resistant plastic wire that possesses spring-like properties, thereby enabling it to return to the shape into which it was originally formed after being subjected to deformation.
. The garment of claim 9 , wherein the wire is a heat-resistant metal wire that possesses spring-like properties, thereby enabling it to return to the shape into which it was originally formed after being subjected to deformation.
. The garment of claim 9 , wherein the diameter of the wire is ranging from 0.5 mm to 1.5 mm.
. The garment of claim 9 , wherein the diameter of the wire is ranging from 0.7 mm to 1 mm.
. The garment of claim 1 , wherein the cord-like material comprises a wire having a flat shape and having a thickness ranging from 0.5 mm to 1.2 mm.
. The garment of claim 6 , wherein the casing is made of cloth or fabric material.
. The garment of claim 6 , wherein the casing is sandwiched between a first layer and a second layer of the pad.
. The garment of claim 1 , wherein the cord-like material runs on the perimeter of the pad as one integral continuous piece.
. The garment of claim 1 , wherein the cord-like material is comprised of plurality of pieces that are not touching each other, thereby forming a set of disconnected cord segments.
. The garment of claim 1 , wherein the length of the cord-like material is ranging from 70% to 95% of the perimeter of the pad such that the cord-like material runs on the perimeter of the pad creating a partially closed loop around the perimeter of the pad.
. The garment of claim 6 , wherein the casing is detachably attached to the perimeter of the pad.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
