Feed Tray and Image Recording Apparatus

Abstract

A feed tray includes a first accommodation part in which a roll body having a configuration where a first sheet-shaped medium is rolled in a roll shape is accommodated, a conveyance guide configured to define a conveyance path for a roll medium which is the first sheet-shaped medium unrolled from the roll body accommodated in the first accommodation part, and a shutter movable between an intercept position where the shutter is located in the conveyance path and a retreat position where the shutter is further from the conveyance path than the intercept position.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A feed tray configured to accommodate a first sheet-shaped medium and a second sheet-shaped medium, the feed tray comprising:
 a first accommodation part configured to accommodate a roll body, in which the first sheet-shaped medium is rolled in a roll shape; and   a second accommodation part configured to accommodate a plurality of the second sheet-shaped medium in a stacked state,   wherein the first accommodation part and the second accommodation part are arranged in the feed tray in a first direction orthogonal to a rotational axis of the roll body, and   wherein the second accommodation part is configured to accommodate the second sheet-shaped medium in an orientation in which a short side of the second sheet-shaped medium is aligned in the first direction.   
     
     
         2 . The feed tray according to  claim 1 ,
 wherein the second accommodation part is arranged at a position downstream with respect to the first accommodation part in a second direction in which the first sheet-shaped medium is unrolled from the roll body.   
     
     
         3 . The feed tray according to  claim 1 , further comprising:
 a first sidewall that extends in the first direction and defines a first side edge of the first accommodation part and the second accommodation part; and   a second sidewall that extends in the first direction and defines a second side edge of the first accommodation part and the second accommodation part, the second side edge facing the first side edge.   
     
     
         4 . An image recording apparatus comprising:
 a housing;   the feed tray according to  claim 1 , the feed tray being configured to be capable of being inserted into and pulled out from the housing;   a feed roller configured to feed one of the first sheet-shaped medium and the second sheet-shaped medium; and   a recording unit configured to record an image on one of the first sheet-shaped medium and the second sheet-shaped medium fed by the feed roller.   
     
     
         5 . The image recording apparatus according to  claim 4 ,
 wherein the second accommodation part of the feed tray is located within the housing in a state where the feed tray is inserted into the housing.   
     
     
         6 . The image recording apparatus according to  claim 4 ,
 wherein the first accommodation part of the feed tray is located within the housing in a state where the feed tray is inserted into the housing.   
     
     
         7 . The image recording apparatus according to  claim 4 ,
 wherein the second sheet-shaped medium is fed by the feed roller in a third direction in which the first sheet-shaped medium is fed by the feed roller.
