Abstract
An interchangeable hat device is disclosed that allows for the interchanging of designs. The interchangeable hat device comprises a body component that is configured into two different halves that can be secured together. More specifically, the two different halves can be zipped together to create a unique hat. Thus, the body component may be available in different halves that can be mixed and matched and combined together to create a custom look. Further, an adjustable strap on the back of the body component allows a user to alter the hat's size and maintain comfort for each user.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . An interchangeable hat device that provides a user with a customizable hat that can accommodate any outfit, the interchangeable hat device comprising:
a body component configured into two different halves; wherein the two different halves of the body component can be secured together; wherein the two different halves are secured together via a zipper; and further wherein the two different halves can be mixed and matched with other halves to create a custom look.
2 . The interchangeable hat device of claim 1 , wherein the zipper extends down a middle of an entire length of the two different halves.
3 . The interchangeable hat device of claim 2 , wherein the body component comprises a crown section and a brim component separated into two different halves that are interchangeable and customizable.
4 . The interchangeable hat device of claim 3 , wherein the crown section comprises a plurality of interconnected panels, forming a crown apex, with a lower peripheral edge forming a headband at a lower extremity of the crown section, a front face spanning from the lower peripheral edge to the crown apex, and a rear opening defined by a gap in the lower peripheral edge opposite the front face of the crown section.
5 . The interchangeable hat device of claim 4 , wherein the brim component is secured at the lower peripheral edge of the front face and extends outward from the front face, forming the rigid brim component.
6 . The interchangeable hat device of claim 5 , wherein the zipper is secured to the two different halves of the body component, to separate and combine the same with halves in various colors and styles to create a customizable hat.
7 . The interchangeable hat device of claim 6 , wherein the zipper is provided at an edge of a first half and an edge of a second half.
8 . The interchangeable hat device of claim 7 , wherein the zipper comprises a first tape disposed along the edge of the first half, and a plurality of male teeth arranged at an edge of the first tape.
9 . The interchangeable hat device of claim 8 , wherein the zipper comprises a second tape disposed along the edge of the second half, and a plurality of female teeth disposed at an edge of the second tape.
10 . The interchangeable hat device of claim 9 , wherein the zipper comprises a slider for engaging or separating the plurality of male teeth and the plurality of female teeth.
11 . The interchangeable hat device of claim 10 , wherein the zipper compromises a pull component.
12 . The interchangeable hat device of claim 11 further comprising an adjustable back strap on a back of the body component to adjust a fit of the interchangeable hat device.
13 . An interchangeable hat device that provides a user with a customizable hat that can accommodate any outfit, the interchangeable hat device comprising:
a body component configured into two different halves; wherein the body component comprises a crown section and a brim component separated into two different halves that are interchangeable and customizable; wherein the crown section comprises a plurality of interconnected panels, forming a crown apex, with a lower peripheral edge forming a headband at a lower extremity of the crown section, a front face spanning from the lower peripheral edge to the crown apex, and a rear opening defined by a gap in the lower peripheral edge opposite the front face of the crown section; wherein an adjustable back strap is positioned on a back of the body component over the rear opening defined by the gap in the lower peripheral edge, to adjust a fit of the interchangeable hat device; wherein the brim component is secured at the lower peripheral edge of the front face and extends outward from the front face, forming the rigid brim component; wherein the two different halves of the body component can be secured together; wherein the two different halves are secured together via a zipper; wherein the zipper extends down a middle of an entire length of the two different halves; wherein the zipper is provided at an edge of a first half and an edge of a second half of the two different halves; and further wherein the two different halves can be mixed and matched with other halves to create a custom look.
14 . The interchangeable hat device of claim 13 , wherein a magnet is disposed inside a first tape and a second tape of the zipper, to secure the zipper and prevent it from moving.
15 . The interchangeable hat device of claim 13 , wherein the lower peripheral edge has a sweat band attached on an interior surface thereof.
16 . The interchangeable hat device of claim 13 , wherein the interchangeable hat device includes a lower peripheral edge with a complete circumference, such that there is no gap defining a rear opening and thus no need for the adjustable back strap.
17 . The interchangeable hat device of claim 13 further comprising a plurality of indicia.
18 . The interchangeable hat device of claim 13 , wherein the zipper comprises a first tape disposed along the edge of the first half, and a plurality of male teeth arranged at an edge of the first tape; and a second tape disposed along the edge of the second half, and a plurality of female teeth disposed at an edge of the second tape.
19 . The interchangeable hat device of claim 18 , wherein the zipper comprises a slider for engaging or separating the plurality of male teeth and the plurality of female teeth, and a pull component for moving the zipper up and down.
20 . A method of customizing a hat to create a custom look, the method comprising the following steps:
providing an interchangeable hat device comprising a body component that is configured into two different halves that can be secured together; choosing two halves based on their color and style; zipping the two halves together to form the hat; adjusting the back strap to alter the hat's size to appropriately fit the user's head; and wearing the stylish hat similar to a conventional hat.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
