Bowl pipe and pod system

Abstract

The subject discloser relates to a bowl pipe and pod system for smoking cannabis or other types of smoking material. In one or more embodiments, a bowl pipe can comprise a housing and a sliding member comprising a bowl cavity adapted to receive and retain a container comprising a prefilled amount of smoking material contained therein, wherein the sliding member is configured to insert into the housing and slide relative to the housing between a closed configuration in which the sliding member is inserted within and encloses the housing and an open configuration in which the sliding member is partially expelled from the housing with the bowl cavity exposed.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A pipe, comprising:
 a housing comprising a mouthpiece end and an open end opposite the mouthpiece end, the mouthpiece end comprising an outlet port;   a sliding member configured to insert into the housing via the open end, the sliding member having a body defined by a base end, an outlet end opposite the base end, a bowl cavity positioned adjacent to the base end and a smoke channel positioned between the outlet end and the bowl cavity, wherein the sliding member is configured to slide relative to the housing between a closed configuration in which the sliding member is inserted within and encloses the housing and an open configuration in which the sliding member is partially expelled from the housing with the bowl cavity exposed and the smoke channel covered by the housing.   
     
     
         2 . The pipe of  claim 1 , wherein the open configuration corresponds to an operating configuration in which the pipe is operable to smoke a smoking material positioned within the bowl cavity, and wherein the closed configuration corresponds to a storage configuration in which the pipe is inoperable to smoke the smoking material. 
     
     
         3 . The pipe of  claim 1 , wherein the sliding member comprises a plurality of openings and open regions and wherein in the closed configuration an entirety of the plurality of openings and open regions are sealed within the housing. 
     
     
         4 . The pipe of  claim 3 , wherein the plurality of openings and open regions include the bowl cavity. 
     
     
         5 . The pipe of  claim 3 , wherein the plurality of openings and open regions include a carburetor opening formed through the body the sliding member into the bowl cavity. 
     
     
         6 . The pipe of  claim 3 , wherein the outlet end comprises an outlet opening and a plug, and wherein in the closed configuration, the plug inserts into and seals the outlet port and the base end encloses and seals the open end of the housing. 
     
     
         7 . The pipe of  claim 1 , further comprising:
 a smoke chamber formed within the housing in the open configuration, the smoke chamber defined by the smoke channel and an interior surface of the housing.   
     
     
         8 . The pipe of  claim 7 , wherein the smoke chamber is further defined by an open region established within the housing between the mouthpiece end of the housing and the outlet end of the siding member, and wherein a volume of the open region is adjustable in the open configuration via sliding the sliding member relative to the housing. 
     
     
         9 . The pipe of  claim 7 , wherein the smoke channel comprises a plurality of offset and separated walls that form a maze smoke pathway. 
     
     
         10 . The pipe of  claim 9 , wherein the maze smoke pathway comprises at least two divergent and interconnected smoke paths. 
     
     
         11 . The pipe of  claim 1 , wherein the sliding member is formed with a metal material. 
     
     
         12 . The pipe of  claim 11 , further comprising:
 a tray formed within the bowl cavity adapted to receive and retain a container adapted to contain a smoking material therein, the tray having an open topside and an open bottom side opposite the open top side, and wherein the open bottom side of the tray is formed on and adjacent to a bottom surface of the sliding member formed with the metal material, and wherein the tray is formed with an elastic material.   
     
     
         13 . The pipe of  claim 12 , wherein the sliding member has a first height that extends in a lateral direction from the bottom surface to the open top surface, wherein the bowl cavity has a second height that extends in the lateral direction from the bottom surface to a bowl cavity surface plane that is coplanar with the open topside of the silicone tray, wherein the first height is greater than the second height. 
     
     
         14 . The pipe of  claim 13 , further comprising the container, the container defined by an open top side and a base wall opposite the top side, the container having a geometry adapted to removably insert partially within the silicone tray the with base wall positioned within the tray facing the bottom surface of the sliding member without contacting the bottom surface and the open top side extending a distance between the bowl cavity surface plane and the open top surface of the smoke channel. 
     
     
         15 . The pipe of  claim 1 , further comprising:
 a container adapted to contain a smoking material therein and removably insert into the bowl cavity, wherein the container has a geometry adapted to fit within the housing in the closed configuration when inserted into the bowl cavity.   
     
     
         16 . The pipe of  claim 15 , wherein the container comprises a prefilled amount of the smoking material. 
     
     
         17 . The pipe of  claim 1 , wherein the housing comprises an outer shell formed with a metal material and liner positioned within the outer shell and formed with a silicone material. 
     
     
         18 . The pipe of  claim 17 , wherein the housing further comprises a mouthpiece positioned at the mouthpiece end and comprising the outlet port, the mouthpiece formed with the silicone material, and wherein the mouthpiece and the liner form a single unit. 
     
     
         19 . The pipe of  claim 1 , further comprising at least one magnet integrated on or within the housing that magnetically attaches the housing to an external surface. 
     
     
         20 . The pipe of  claim 1 , further comprising a lighter integrated on or within the sliding member. 
     
     
         21 . A pipe, comprising:
 a housing comprising; and   a sliding member comprising a bowl cavity adapted to receive and retain a container comprising a prefilled amount of smoking material contained therein, wherein the sliding member is configured to insert into the housing and slide relative to the housing between a closed configuration in which the sliding member is inserted within and encloses the housing and an open configuration in which the sliding member is partially expelled from the housing with the bowl cavity exposed.   
     
     
         22 . The pipe of  claim 21 , wherein the open configuration corresponds to an operating configuration in which the pipe is operable to smoke the smoking material contained within the container when the container is inserted within the bowl cavity, and wherein the closed configuration corresponds to a storage configuration in which the pipe is inoperable to smoke the smoking material. 
     
     
         23 . The pipe of  claim 22 , wherein the pipe is adapted to contain and seal the container and the smoking material contained therein in the closed configuration with the container inserted within the bowl cavity.
