Folding Chair with Wheel Assembly and Coupling Mechanism
Abstract
The present disclosure relates to a folding chair comprising telescopic upright supports for compact storage and deployment. The folding chair includes one or more wheel assemblies for effortless mobility and transportation. Furthermore, one or more coupling mechanisms enables connection of multiple folding chairs for increased stability. Additionally, a specialized container is provided, allowing the folded chair to be housed securely while still enabling access to the wheels for easy transportation. Together, these integrated components offer users a versatile and user-friendly seating solution suitable for various indoor and outdoor environments.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A folding chair comprising:
a frame assembly constructed of a plurality of pivotally connected scissors-like cross-shaped structures, including a front transverse structure and a rear transverse structure, a first side structure and a second side structures; a plurality of legs comprising a first leg, a second leg, a third leg and a fourth leg; a seat suspended between one or more upper vertices of the cross-shaped structures; and a plurality of telescopic upright supports mounted between one or more of front seat corners and one or more of the plurality of legs, the plurality of telescopic upright support being retractable into a retracted positions when the folding chair is unfolded; wherein the front transverse structures and the rear transverse structures and the first side structure and the second side structures define a rectangular parallelepiped expandable or collapsible symmetrically about an axis of symmetry, and wherein the telescopic upright supports enhance the tension and support of the seat while maintaining compactness in the folded state.
2 . The folding chair according to claim 1 , wherein the telescopic upright supports comprise a pair of parallel linearly telescopic members telescopically extendable and retractable between fully extended positions when the rectangular parallelepiped is fully collapsed and fully retracted positions when the rectangular parallelepiped is fully expanded.
3 . The folding chair according to claim 1 , further comprising rear uprights mounted to the rear feet and slidably mounted to rear seat corners of the folding seat, extending above the seat to enable a back support mounted therebetween.
4 . The folding chair according to claim 1 , further comprising a first armrest and a second armrest.
5 . A folding chair, comprising:
a frame assembly constructed of a plurality of pivotally connected scissors-like cross-shaped structures, including a front transverse structure and a rear transverse structure, a first side structure and a second side structures; a plurality of legs including a first leg, a second leg, a third leg and a fourth leg; a seat suspended between one or more upper vertices of the cross-shaped structures; and a plurality of telescopic upright supports mounted between one or more of front seat corners and one or more of the plurality of legs, the plurality of telescopic upright support being retractable into a retracted positions when the folding chair is unfolded, the plurality of telescopic upright supports comprises a first back leg extending upwardly from the first leg, a second back leg extending upwardly from the second leg; one or more wheel assemblies attached at one or more first positions, wherein the one or more first positions comprises position adjacent a first end of the first back leg, position adjacent a second end of the second back leg; and one or more coupling mechanisms provided at, one or more second positions, wherein the one or more second positions comprises positions adjacent the one or more first positions, position adjacent a third end of the first back leg, position adjacent a fourth end of the second back leg.
6 . The folding chair according to claim 5 , wherein the coupling mechanisms comprise a chair connector, a connecting rod, a hinge, a snap fit connection clip and a flexible joint.
7 . The folding chair according to claim 5 , wherein the one or more wheel assemblies includes a first side wheel assembly and a second side wheel assembly, the first side wheel is arranged adjacent a first end of the first back leg and the second side wheel assembly is arranged adjacent the second end of the second back leg.
8 . The folding chair according to claim 5 , wherein wheels of the one or more wheel assemblies are rotatable and allow the folding chair to be maneuvered over various surfaces.
9 . The folding chair according to claim 5 , wherein the coupling mechanisms includes a quick-release mechanisms for easy attachment and detachment of coupled chairs.
10 . The folding chair according to claim 5 , further comprising a container for housing the folding chair, wherein the container comprises a window designed to expose the wheels of the folding chair out of the container.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
