Claims

Abstract

A cylinder and dial knitting machine includes a knitting gap, at least one feeder for feeding two yarns into the knitting gap, a plurality of upper needles, a plurality of lower needles, and a selector. The two yarns are interlaced at a narrowing point in the knitting gap. Each of the lower needles is controlled by the selector to have two narrowing states. Each of the lower needles has a hooking point in each of the two narrowing states. Two hooking points have different positions at the knitting gap, and the two hooking points have different distances to the narrowing point. Each of the lower needles is hooked at the two yarns at one of the two hooking points. Each of the plurality of lower needle determines the looping process is standard plating or interchanged plating in accordance with the relative positions of the two yarns.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A cylinder and dial knitting machine, comprising a knitting gap, at least one feeder configured to feed two yarns into the knitting gap, at least one upper needle cam, a plurality of upper needles guided by the at least one upper needle cam, at least one lower needle cam, and a plurality of lower needles guided by the at least one lower needle cam, the two yarns being interlaced at a narrowing point located in the knitting gap, the cylinder and dial knitting machine being characterized in that,
 the cylinder and dial knitting machine further comprises a selector, each of the plurality of lower needles is controlled by the selector to comprise two narrowing states, each of the plurality of lower needles comprises a hooking point in each of the two narrowing states, the two hooking points have different positions at the knitting gap, the two hooking points have two different distances to the narrowing point, and each of the plurality of lower needles is disposed to hook the two yarns at one of the two hooking points and determines a looping process is standard plating or interchanged plating according to relative positions of the two yarns.   
     
     
         2 . The cylinder and dial knitting machine according to  claim 1 , wherein the cylinder and dial knitting machine includes at least two feeders, each of the at least two feeders feeds the two yarns into the knitting gap, and colors of a plurality of yarns fed into the knitting gap by the two feeder are different from each other. 
     
     
         3 . The cylinder and dial knitting machine according to  claim 1 , wherein each of the lower needles comprises a first half needle position, each of the upper needles comprises a second half needle position, each of the lower needles comprises a first starting point for narrowing to start narrowing from the first half needle position in each of the two narrowing states, each of the upper needles comprises a second starting point for narrowing to start narrowing from the second half needle position, and the second starting point for narrowing is located at a position between the two first starting points for narrowing at the knitting gap. 
     
     
         4 . The cylinder and dial knitting machine according to  claim 3 , wherein each of the two yarns has a yarn-feeding path, the two yarn-feeding paths are different, and two extension lines of the two yarn-feeding paths are interlaced at the narrowing point. 
     
     
         5 . The cylinder and dial knitting machine according to  claim 4 , wherein each of the plurality of lower needles comprises a first cast-off point in each of the two narrowing states, each of the plurality of upper needles between a second cast-off point upon moving, and a timing when the plurality of upper needles enter the second cast-off point is earlier than that when the plurality of lower needles enter the first cast-off point. 
     
     
         6 . The cylinder and dial knitting machine according to  claim 1 , wherein each of the plurality of lower needles comprises a first cast-off point in each of the two narrowing states, each of the plurality of upper needles comprises a second cast-off point upon moving, and a timing when the plurality of upper needles enter the second cast-off point is earlier than that when the plurality of lower needles enter the first cast-off point.
