Smart tennis ball machine
Abstract
A smart ball-machine uses artificial intelligence to train a player or to play with a player. For example, the ball-machine can adjust the tennis ball speed, topspin, bounce according to the player's successful ball return rate. The ball-machine can be preconfigured with a profile of a player. For example, the ball-machine may download a complete profile of a tennis player from a game recording or may download a file with a customized profile of a player to train a player using the ball-machine. The ball-machine is equipped with a plurality of wheels, motors, and shafts to provide a fully customizable launch of one or more balls. For example, the ball can be launched from the machine from one side of a tennis court to another side of a tennis court with a variety of speeds, trajectories, topspin, bounce etc.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A ball-machine housed in a bag, the ball-machine comprising:
a set of wheels to roll the ball-machine from one location to another location; a housing that sits adjacent to the set of wheels; a ball ejector inside the housing, wherein the ball ejector includes a wheel to control speed of a ball; a memory inside the housing; an antenna to receive data including a profile of a player; a processor coupled to the memory, the processor inside the housing, wherein the processor is to apply artificial intelligence to the received data and to determine a control setting for the wheel; a rotatable shaft coupled to the ball ejector, wherein the rotatable shaft is configured to change an angle of trajectory of the ball ejector; a battery to power the processor; and an interface to charge the battery.
2 . The ball-machine of claim 1 further comprising a connectivity interface to connect the processor with one or more external devices.
3 . The ball-machine of claim 1 , wherein the processor is to change one or more controls of the ball-machine according to a performance of a player receiving the ball.
4 . The ball-machine of claim 1 , wherein the antenna is to receive the data via a smart phone.
5 . The ball-machine of claim 1 , wherein a camera is coupled to the housing.
6 . The ball-machine of claim 1 further comprising a ball feeder to store two or more balls, wherein the ball feeder is coupled to the ball ejector.
7 . The ball-machine of claim 1 further comprising a motor coupled to the wheel to rotate the wheel according to one or more settings.
8 . The ball-machine of claim 1 further comprising a mechanism coupled to the bag, wherein the mechanism is configured to attach a ball holder.
9 . The ball-machine of claim 1 , wherein the housing is configured to oscillate via a stage that lifts the housing.
10 . A ball-machine housed in a bag, the ball-machine comprising:
a set of wheels to roll the ball-machine from one location to another location; a housing that sits adjacent to the set of wheels; a ball ejector inside the housing, wherein the ball ejector includes a wheel to control speed of a ball; a memory inside the housing; an antenna to receive data including a profile of a player; a processor coupled to the memory, the processor inside the housing, wherein the processor is to apply artificial intelligence to the received data and to determine a control setting for the wheel; a battery to power the processor; an interface to charge the battery; and a mechanism coupled to the bag, wherein the mechanism is configured to attach a ball holder.
11 . The ball-machine of claim 10 further comprising a motor coupled to the wheel to rotate the wheel according to one or more settings.
12 . The ball-machine of claim 10 , wherein the housing is configured to oscillate via a stage that lifts the housing.
13 . The ball-machine of claim 10 further comprising a connectivity interface to connect the processor with one or more external devices.
14 . The ball-machine of claim 10 , wherein the processor is to change one or more controls of the ball-machine according to a performance of a player receiving the ball.
15 . The ball-machine of claim 10 , wherein the antenna is to receive the data via a smart phone.
16 . The ball-machine of claim 10 , wherein a camera is coupled to the bag.
17 . The ball-machine of claim 10 further comprising a ball feeder to store two or more balls, wherein the ball feeder is coupled to the ball ejector.
18 . A ball-machine housed in a bag, the ball-machine comprising:
a set of wheels to roll the ball-machine from one location to another location; a housing that sits adjacent to the set of wheels; a ball ejector inside the housing, wherein the ball ejector includes a wheel to control speed of a ball; a memory inside the housing; an antenna to receive data including a profile of a player; a processor coupled to the memory, the processor inside the housing, wherein the processor is to apply artificial intelligence to the received data and to determine a control setting for the wheel; a battery to power the processor; an interface to charge the battery; and a lifting mechanism configured to lift the housing to change a position of the ball ejector.
19 . The ball-machine of claim 18 further comprising a mechanism coupled to the bag, wherein the mechanism is configured to attach a ball holder.
20 . The ball-machine of claim 18 further comprising a motor coupled to the wheel to rotate the wheel according to one or more settings.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
