Abstract
An adjustable garment includes a garment body and a deformable band. The garment body has a front panel and a back panel formed with the front panel. The front panel and the back panel cooperate to form a collar and a hem spaced apart from the collar. The deformable band has a first end joined with the hem and a second end spaced apart from the first end.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . An adjustable garment configured to cover at least a portion of a torso of a person, the adjustable garment comprising
a garment body including a front panel and a back panel joined with the front panel, the front panel and the back panel cooperating to form a collar and a hem spaced apart from the collar, the front panel including a first panel, a second panel, and a panel coupler adapted to selectively couple at least some of the first panel with at least some of the second panel, and a deformable band having a first end joined with the hem and a second end spaced apart from the first end, the deformable band being configured to provide means for adjusting the adjustable garment between an untucked configuration in which the second end of the deformable band is spaced a first distance from the collar and a tucked configuration in which the second end of the deformable band is spaced a second, shorter distance from the collar and arranged between the front panel and the back panel to hide at least a portion of the deformable band inside the garment body when the adjustable garment is worn by a person so that the adjustable garment has a tucked-in appearance, wherein the deformable band is only coupled to the garment body at the hem via the first end when the adjustable garment is in the tucked configuration, wherein the deformable band further provides means for securing the first panel and the second panel at the hem to block the first panel from separating from the second panel at the hem so that removal of the adjustable garment from a person requires moving the deformable band over the person's head or the person's hips.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
