Abstract
A mop wringer assembly for enhancing stability of a bucket during mopping includes a mop wringer that is positionable on a bucket for having a mop positioned therein. The mop wringer has a box portion to receive the mop. The mop wringer includes a squeezing unit that is movably integrated into the box portion. The squeezing unit includes a handle wherein the handle that extends laterally across the box portion. In this way the bucket is inhibited from tipping backwards from weight of the handle to inhibit water in the bucket from being spilled.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedI claim:
1 . A mop wringer assembly having a handle that extends laterally across a mop wringer for enhancing stability of a bucket on which the mop wringer is positioned, said assembly comprising:
a mop wringer being positionable on a bucket wherein said mop wringer is configured to have a mop positioned therein, said mop wringer having a box portion wherein said box portion is configured to receive the mop, said mop wringer having a squeezing unit being movably integrated into said box portion, said squeezing unit including a handle wherein said handle is configured to be manipulated by a user, said handle extending laterally across said box portion to inhibit said bucket from tipping backwards from weight of said handle wherein said mop wringer is configured to inhibit water in said bucket from being spilled.
2 . The assembly according to claim 1 , wherein:
said box portion having a first lateral wall, a second lateral wall, a front wall and a back side; said squeezing unit comprises a squeeze plate being movably positioned in said box portion, said squeeze plate being urgeable toward and away from said front wall of said box portion.
3 . The assembly according to claim 2 , wherein said squeezing unit comprises a shaft having a first end and a second end, each of said first end and said second end being rotatably coupled to a respective one of said first lateral wall and said second lateral wall of said box portion.
4 . The assembly according to claim 3 , wherein said squeezing unit includes a biasing member being positioned around said shaft, said biasing member biasing said shaft to rotate in a first direction, said squeeze plate being positioned adjacent to said back side of said box portion when said shaft rotates in said first direction.
5 . The assembly according to claim 3 , wherein said squeezing unit includes a linkage being pivotally coupled between said shaft and said squeeze plate.
6 . The assembly according to claim 3 , wherein said squeezing unit includes a riser having a lower end, an upper end and a first surface extending therebetween, said riser being elongated between said lower end and said upper end, said first end of said shaft extending through said first surface of said riser at a point located adjacent to said lower end, said riser extending upwardly along said first lateral wall of said box portion.
7 . The assembly according to claim 6 , wherein said squeezing unit includes said handle, said handle having a first end and a second end, said first end of said handle being coupled to said first surface of said riser at a point being positioned adjacent to said upper end of said riser, said handle extending along a line defining an obtuse angle with respect to said first surface of said riser.
8 . The assembly according to claim 7 , wherein said handle extends along an axis being aligned with an axis extending through said first end and said second end of said shaft.
9 . The assembly according to claim 7 , wherein said handle is urgeable toward said front wall of said box portion, said shaft rotating in a second direction when said handle is urged toward said front wall of said box portion, said squeeze plate being urged toward said front wall of said box portion when said handle is urged toward said front wall wherein said squeeze plate is configured to squeeze a mop positioned in said box portion for wringing water from the mop.
10 . A mop wringer assembly having a handle that extends laterally across a mop wringer for enhancing stability of a bucket on which the mop wringer is positioned, said assembly comprising:
a mop wringer being positionable on a bucket wherein said mop wringer is configured to have a mop positioned therein, said mop wringer having a box portion wherein said box portion is configured to receive the mop, said mop wringer having a squeezing unit being movably integrated into said box portion, said squeezing unit including a handle wherein said handle is configured to be manipulated by a user, said handle extending laterally across said box portion to inhibit said bucket from tipping backwards from weight of said handle wherein said mop wringer is configured to inhibit water in said bucket from being spilled, said box portion having a first lateral wall, a second lateral wall, a front wall and a back side, said squeezing unit comprising:
a squeeze plate being movably positioned in said box portion, said squeeze plate being urgeable toward and away from said front wall of said box portion;
a shaft having a first end and a second end, each of said first end and said second end being rotatably coupled to a respective one of said first lateral wall and said second lateral wall of said box portion;
a biasing member being positioned around said shaft, said biasing member biasing said shaft to rotate in a first direction, said squeeze plate being positioned adjacent to said back side of said box portion when said shaft rotates in said first direction;
a linkage being pivotally coupled between said shaft and said squeeze plate;
a riser having a lower end, an upper end and a first surface extending therebetween, said riser being elongated between said lower end and said upper end, said first end of said shaft extending through said first surface of said riser at a point located adjacent to said lower end, said riser extending upwardly along said first lateral wall of said box portion; and
said handle having a first end and a second end, said first end of said handle being coupled to said first surface of said riser at a point being positioned adjacent to said upper end of said riser, said handle extending along a line defining an obtuse angle with respect to said first surface of said riser, said handle extending along an axis being aligned with an axis extending through said first end and said second end of said shaft, said handle being urgeable toward said front wall of said box portion, said shaft rotating in a second direction when said handle is urged toward said front wall of said box portion, said squeeze plate being urged toward said front wall of said box portion when said handle is urged toward said front wall wherein said squeeze plate is configured to squeeze a mop positioned in said box portion for wringing water from the mop.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
