Abstract
A puller handle ( 10 ) includes an elongated upper structure having bifurcated feet ( 11 a ) and ( 11 b ) in it's base, with a transverse aperture ( 12 ) along a perpendicular plane to that of the puller handle ( 10 ) defined in each foot. A slider fastener ( 100 ) is positioned inferior to the puller handle ( 10 ) which is mounted astride a bridge ( 101 ) defined on the upper surface of the slider fastener ( 100 ). A pin ( 15 ) having a head ( 16 ) is inserted in the aperture ( 12 ) in the proximal foot ( 11 a ) and is positioned across an aperture ( 102 ) defined beneath a bridge ( 101 ) to access the other aperture ( 12 ) in the distal foot ( 11 b ). Threads ( 14 ) are defined within the surface of the aperture ( 12 ) in foot ( 11 b ) to engage into threads ( 18 ) defined on the surface of pin ( 15 ). The head ( 16 ) defined on pin ( 15 ) functions to stop the movement of the pin ( 15 ) through the aperture ( 12 ) in foot ( 11 a ). Slot ( 17 ) on the head ( 16 ) provides a site for engagement of a suitable tool to move pin ( 15 ) through the aperture when it is pivoted. Serrations ( 13 ) are defined on the lower surface of the feet ( 11 a ) and ( 11 b ) to abrade the upper surface of the slider fastener ( 100 ) and act as a file when the puller handle ( 10 ) is moved through it's range of motion. This increases the clearance when the feet ( 11 a ) and ( 11 b ) are in close proximity to the upper surface of the slider fastener ( 100 ).

1 . A puller handle comprising:
a body adapted to be attached to or detached from the bridge of a slider fastener of a zipper, having an elongated upper structure, bifurcated in the base, operable to be removably retained when mounted in position on said slider fastener.
2 . The puller handle of claim 1 wherein the bifurcation in the base comprises feet that are mounted astride said bridge of said slider fastener;
attachment means to secure said feet to said bridge and movement means to change the position of said slider fastener when said slider fastener is urged in different directions by said puller handle.
3 . The puller handle of claim 1 and claim 2 wherein said feet comprise apertures adapted to be accessed by means to secure said puller handle to said slider fastener, said means being removably retained within said apertures.
4 . The puller handle of claim 3 wherein said apertures in said feet are connected bridged by a pin having access across an aperture defined between the lower surface of said bridge and the upper surface of said slider fastener.
5 . The puller handle of claim 4 wherein at least one aperture in said feet have threads defined in the surface within said aperture;
said pin having threads defined thereon for engaging into the threads within at least one aperture in said feet.
6 . The puller handle of claim 3 wherein said pin has defined thereon a head adapted to limit movement of said pin through at least one aperture in the feet, when said pin is urged by a force applied to said head;
said head of said pin having defined thereon a slot for the pivoting of said pin by a suitable tool, thereby moving said pin through at least one aperture in the feet.
7 . The puller handle of claim 3 wherein said feet have defined serrations on their lower surfaces, said serrations acting to abrade the upper surface of the slider fastener to increase the clearance between said lower surface of the feet and said upper surface of said slider fastener.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
