exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A buckle, comprising:
a male component and a female component, wherein: the male component comprises: a slot for a strap at an end of the male component opposite the side where the male component is configured to insert into the female component; an inclined insert; and one or more mating slots in the inclined insert; and the female component comprises: a top wall, a bottom wall, and sidewalls forming a receiving portion; a plurality of teeth; a slot for a strap; and a chord, wherein the chord is configured that when pulled the teeth disengage just enough for the male component to be released.
2 . The buckle of claim 1 , further comprising a self-guiding indicator protrusion on the male component.
3 . The buckle of claim 1 , wherein the female component is curved.
4 . The buckle of claim 1 , wherein the slots for straps on the female component and the male component are designed for 2 inch webbing.
5 . The buckle of claim 1 , wherein the buckle has a form factor about 2.5 inches in length and 1.7 inches in width when fully engaged.
6 . The buckle of claim 1 , further comprising front and back patterns on the female component with openings configured to allow for dust and other foreign particles to be removed naturally.
7 . The buckle of claim 1 , further comprising the addition of material around the slot for the strap in the male component.
8 . The buckle of claim 1 , wherein the mating regions on both components of the buckle are rectangular.
9 . The buckle of claim 1 , wherein the front end is angled slightly.
10 . The buckle of claim 1 , further comprising an opening on the upper lip of the slot for the strap on one or more of the male component and the female component.
11 . A buckle, comprising:
a male component and a female component, wherein: the male component comprises: a plurality of teeth; a slot for a strap at an end of the male component opposite the side where the male component is configured to insert into the female component; an inclined insert; and one or more mating slots in the inclined insert; and the female component comprises: a top wall, a bottom wall, and sidewalls forming a receiving portion; a plurality of oval patterns; a slot for a strap; and a chord, wherein the chord is configured that when pulled the teeth disengage just enough for the male component to be released; and the teeth located on the male component achieve locking by latching onto the oval patterns on the female component.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
