Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a laundry treating apparatus in which both a display portion for displaying a screen and input means for receiving a command for determining content displayed on the screen are arranged inside manipulation portion for selecting a control command while rotating in a cabinet.

         32 . A laundry treating apparatus comprising:
 a cabinet;   a drum rotatably disposed in the cabinet and configured to receive laundry therein;   a manipulation portion rotatably coupled to the cabinet and configured to receive a selection command for selecting one or more courses to be performed by rotating the drum;   a display portion comprising a display that is fixed to the cabinet and disposed inside the manipulation portion, the display being configured to display information for at least one of (i) a state of a selected course among the one or more courses or (ii) a determination command for requesting confirmation of a user; and   a selection portion disposed inside the display portion and configured to receive the determination command,   wherein the display portion further comprises an inducing portion spaced apart from the display, the inducing portion being configured to induce a touch to the selection portion or guide a touch position of the selection portion, and   wherein the selection portion is spaced apart from the inducing portion.   
     
     
         33 . The laundry treating apparatus of  claim 32 , wherein the display portion comprises:
 a mounting body that is fixed to the cabinet and disposed inside the manipulation portion, the mounting body being configured to support the display; and   a circuit board disposed at a rear side of the display and configured to receive the determination command from the selection portion,   wherein the mounting body defines:
 a seating groove that supports the display, 
 an inducing hole spaced apart from the seating groove, the inducing portion being disposed at the inducing hole, and 
 a sensor hole that passes through the mounting body and is spaced apart from the inducing hole, the selection portion extending toward the circuit board through the sensor hole. 
   
     
     
         34 . The laundry treating apparatus of  claim 33 , wherein the inducing hole is defined between a lower end of the seating groove and an inner circumferential face of the mounting body, and
 wherein the sensor hole is defined between the lower end of the seating groove and the inner circumferential face.   
     
     
         35 . The laundry treating apparatus of  claim 34 , wherein the sensor hole is defined between the inner circumferential face and the inducing hole. 
     
     
         36 . The laundry treating apparatus of  claim 33 , wherein an area of the sensor hole is greater than an area of the inducing hole. 
     
     
         37 . The laundry treating apparatus of  claim 33 , wherein the selection portion comprises a receiver disposed forward relative to the sensor hole, the receiver being configured to sense the user and receive the determination command, and
 wherein an area of the receiver is greater than an area of the sensor hole.   
     
     
         38 . The laundry treating apparatus of  claim 37 , wherein the receiver extends from the sensor hole toward the inducing hole. 
     
     
         39 . The laundry treating apparatus of  claim 37 , wherein the receiver extends from the sensor hole and surrounds at least a portion of the inducing hole. 
     
     
         40 . The laundry treating apparatus of  claim 37 , wherein the inducing hole is defined between a lower end of the seating groove and an inner circumferential face of the mounting body,
 wherein the sensor hole is defined between a first side of the seating groove and the inner circumferential face, and   wherein the receiver extends from the sensor hole toward a space between a first side of the inducing hole and the inner circumferential face.   
     
     
         41 . The laundry treating apparatus of  claim 40 , wherein the receiver extends from the sensor hole toward the inner circumferential face and extends from the sensor hole toward a second side of the inducing hole and the inner circumferential face. 
     
     
         42 . The laundry treating apparatus of  claim 37 , wherein the receiver is spaced apart from a lower end and both sides of the inducing hole. 
     
     
         43 . The laundry treating apparatus of  claim 37 , wherein a gap between the inducing hole and the receiver defines a reference distance between the receiver and each of a lower edge and side edges of the inducing hole. 
     
     
         44 . The laundry treating apparatus of  claim 37 , wherein the receiver covers a space between (i) the seating groove and the inducing hole and (ii) an inner circumferential face of the mounting body. 
     
     
         45 . The laundry treating apparatus of  claim 32 , wherein the selection portion comprises a conductor and is configured to sense an electrical current based on the user interacting with the receiver. 
     
     
         46 . The laundry treating apparatus of  claim 37 , wherein the display portion comprises a window that is disposed at a front surface of the mounting body and covers the display, and
 wherein the receiver is disposed between the window and the mounting body.   
     
     
         47 . The laundry treating apparatus of  claim 46 , wherein the receiver is attached to or printed on a rear surface of the window. 
     
     
         48 . The laundry treating apparatus of  claim 46 , wherein the receiver comprises a conductor and is configured to sense the user. 
     
     
         49 . The laundry treating apparatus of claim  17 , wherein the receiver comprises a film that is made from carbon. 
     
     
         50 . The laundry treating apparatus of  claim 46 , wherein the receiver covers the sensor hole and an edge of the inducing hole. 
     
     
         51 . The laundry treating apparatus of  claim 46 , wherein the selection portion further comprises a transmitter that extends through the sensor hole, the transmitter being connected to the receiver and the circuit board. 
     
     
         52 . The laundry treating apparatus of  claim 51 , wherein the transmitter is made of an elastic material, the transmitter being in contact with the receiver and configured to transmit a current from the receiver to the circuit board. 
     
     
         53 . A laundry treating apparatus comprising:
 a cabinet;   a drum rotatably disposed in the cabinet and configured to receive laundry therein;   a manipulation portion rotatably coupled to the cabinet and configured to receive a selection command for selecting one or more courses to be performed by rotating the drum;   a display portion comprising a display that is fixed to the cabinet and disposed inside the manipulation portion, the display being configured to display information for at least one of (i) a state of a selected course among the one or more courses or (ii) a determination command for requesting confirmation of a user; and   a selection portion disposed inside the display portion and configured to receive the determination command,   wherein the display portion comprises a light emitting body spaced apart from the display, the light emitting body being configured to irradiate light to thereby guide a touch of the selection portion, and   wherein the selection portion is spaced apart from the light emitting body.   
     
     
         54 . The laundry treating apparatus of  claim 53 , wherein the display portion comprises:
 a mounting body that is fixed to the cabinet and disposed inside the manipulation portion, the mounting body being configured to support the display; and   a circuit board disposed at a rear side of the display, the light emitting body being mounted on the circuit board,   wherein the mounting body defines a through-hole for guiding the light irradiated from the light emitting body.   
     
     
         55 . The laundry treating apparatus of  claim 54 , wherein the light emitting body comprises a light emitting diode (LED) lamp or a light bulb that are controlled by the circuit board. 
     
     
         56 . The laundry treating apparatus of  claim 54 , wherein the light emitting body is disposed downward relative to the display, and
 wherein the light emitting body at least partially extends through the through-hole.   
     
     
         57 . The laundry treating apparatus of  claim 56 , wherein a width of the through-hole is greater than a length of the through-hole. 
     
     
         58 . The laundry treating apparatus of  claim 57 , wherein the selection portion is spaced apart from the through-hole. 
     
     
         59 . The laundry treating apparatus of  claim 58 , wherein the selection portion comprises:
 a receiver disposed forward relative to the mounting body, and   a transmitter that passes through a sensor hole and is connected to both the receiver and the circuit board, the sensor hole being defined by the mounting body, and   wherein the receiver covers the sensor hole and an edge of the through-hole.   
     
     
         60 . A laundry treating apparatus comprising:
 a cabinet;   a drum rotatably disposed in the cabinet and configured to receive laundry therein;   a manipulation portion rotatably coupled to the cabinet and configured to receive a selection command for selecting one or more courses to be performed by rotating the drum;   a display portion comprising a display that is fixed to the cabinet and disposed inside the manipulation portion, the display being configured to display information for a selected course among the one or more courses; and   a selection portion disposed inside the display portion and configured to receive a determination command for requesting confirmation of a user,   wherein the display portion further comprises:
 a mounting body that is fixed to the cabinet and disposed inside the manipulation portion, the mounting body being configured to support the display, 
 a circuit board configured to receive the determination command from the selection portion, and 
 a window disposed at a front surface of the mounting body to thereby protect the display and the selection portion, 
   wherein the selection portion comprises:
 a receiver that is in contact with the window, and 
 a transmitter that is connected to both the receiver and the circuit board and transmits the determination command to the circuit board, 
 wherein the transmitter is made of an elastic material, and 
 wherein a gap between the window and the circuit board is maintained, or a state of the receiver in contact with the window is maintained. 
   
     
     
         61 . The laundry treating apparatus of  claim 60 , wherein the transmitter is disposed at the mounting body in a compressed state. 
     
     
         62 . The laundry treating apparatus of  claim 60 , wherein the transmitter comprises:
 a main body disposed between the receiver and the circuit board, the main body being configured to provide an elastic force;   a contact portion that extends from the main body and is in contact with the receiver; and   a fixed portion that extends from the main body and is coupled to the circuit board, and   wherein a diameter of each of the contact portion and the fixed portion is less than a diameter of the main body.
