Standing assist and container assembly

Abstract

A standing assist and container assembly for providing a standing aid includes a support assisting a user position from a kneeling position to a standing position when a hand of the user presses downwardly on the support against a ground surface. A container is removably coupled to the support and encloses a receiving space. The container removably contains gardening articles within the receiving space. A coupler releasably fastens the support to the container.

I claim: 
     
         1 . A standing aid and container assembly comprising:
 a support being configured for assisting a user position from a kneeling position to a standing position when a hand of the user presses downwardly on said support against a ground surface;   a container being removably coupled to said support and enclosing a receiving space, said container being configured for removably containing gardening articles within said receiving space; and   a coupler releasably fastening said support to said container.   
     
     
         2 . The standing aid and container assembly of  claim 1 , wherein said support includes a handle, said handle including a grip being configured for being grabbed by the hand of the user. 
     
     
         3 . The standing aid and container assembly of  claim 2 , further including a rigid frame being coupled to said grip, said rigid frame including a pair of lateral sections, each lateral section of rigid frame being coupled to a respective one of a pair of lateral ends of said grip and protruding downwardly from said grip, an end of each lateral section of said pair of lateral sections being coupled to a central section of said rigid frame. 
     
     
         4 . The standing aid and container assembly of  claim 3 , further including an elongated shaft being coupled to said handle, said elongated shaft being positioned perpendicular relative to said grip, a top end of said elongated shaft being coupled to said central section of said rigid frame.

The standing aid and container assembly of  claim 4 , further including a mounting plate being coupled to a bottom end of said elongated shaft, said mounting plate being positioned parallel relative to said grip, a plurality of holes extending through a top surface and a bottom surface of said mounting plate, each of said holes being positioned within a respective one of a plurality of corners of said mounting plate.

The standing aid and container assembly of  claim 5 , wherein said container includes a base wall and a perimeter wall being coupled to and extending upwardly from said base wall, a top edge of said perimeter wall defining an opening into said receiving space of said container, an upper surface of said base wall being abuttable to said bottom surface of said mounting plate, a plurality of apertures extending through said upper surface and a lower surface of said base wall, each aperture of said base wall being aligned to a respective one of said plurality of holes of said mounting plate when said mounting plate abutting said base wall.

The standing aid and container assembly of  claim 6 , wherein said coupler comprises a plurality of fastening screws being insertable through said plurality of holes of said mounting plate and said plurality of apertures of said base wall, wherein said plurality of fastening screws fastens said support to said container. 
     
     
         8 . A standing aid and container assembly comprising:
 a support being configured for assisting a user position from a kneeling position to a standing position when a hand of the user presses downwardly on said support against a ground surface, said support including:
 a handle, said handle including:
 a grip being configured for being grabbed by the hand of the user; 
 a rigid frame being coupled to said grip, said rigid frame including a pair of lateral sections, each lateral section of rigid frame being coupled to a respective one of a pair of lateral ends of said grip and protruding downwardly from said grip, an end of each lateral section of said pair of lateral sections being coupled to a central section of said rigid frame; 
 
 an elongated shaft being coupled to said handle, said elongated shaft being positioned perpendicular relative to said grip, a top end of said elongated shaft being coupled to said central section of said rigid frame; and 
 a mounting plate being coupled to a bottom end of said elongated shaft, said mounting plate being positioned parallel relative to said grip, a plurality of holes extending through a top surface and a bottom surface of said mounting plate, each of said holes being positioned within a respective one of a plurality of corners of said mounting plate; 
   a container being removably coupled to said support and enclosing a receiving space, said container being configured for removably containing gardening articles within said receiving space, said container including a base wall and a perimeter wall being coupled to and extending upwardly from said base wall, a top edge of said perimeter wall defining an opening into said receiving space of said container, an upper surface of said base wall being abuttable to said bottom surface of said mounting plate, a plurality of apertures extending through said upper surface and a lower surface of said base wall, each aperture of said base wall being aligned to a respective one of said plurality of holes of said mounting plate when said mounting plate abutting said base wall; and   a coupler releasably fastening said support to said container, said coupler comprising a plurality of fastening screws being insertable through said plurality of holes of said mounting plate and said plurality of apertures of said base wall, wherein said plurality of fastening screws fastens said support to said container.
