Abstract

A wound non-aqueous electrolyte battery includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode, a separator provided between the positive and negative electrodes, and a non-aqueous electrolyte. The negative electrode includes a lithium-aluminum alloy sheet. The lithium-aluminum alloy sheet has surfaces including a surface of which parts are flush and connected with one another via grain boundaries of lithium-aluminum alloy. An average grain boundary number N is 8.75 or less, the average grain boundary number N being provided as ΣG i /ΣL i by dividing ΣG i by ΣL i , where ΣG i is a sum of numbers of grain boundaries G i out of the plurality of grain boundaries which intersect M line segments PQ i respectively connecting point P i to point Q i on the surface of the lithium-aluminum alloy sheet, ΣL i is a sum of lengths Li of the M line segments PQ i , M is an integer greater than 1, and i is an integer satisfying 1<i≤M).
