Abstract

A multi-sided, multi-purpose liner is provided for use in footwear. Each side of the liner provides one or more benefits to the wearer. The liner is reversible, such that a first side with a first benefit can contact the wearer's foot or a second side with a second benefit can contact the wearer's foot. The wearer can flip or rotate the liner so that the side having the desired benefit contacts their foot during use. One side of the liner may include a plurality of benefits in a preselected pattern across the surface. A liner kit provides a material blank from which the liner may be cut to produce a desired distribution of benefits. The benefits of the liner may vary with respect to the location on the surface of the liner, with some areas of the liner displaying an increased or decreased degree of a specific benefit.

a plurality of bladders which are removably and reversibly placeable inside said footwear; wherein at least one of said plurality of bladders further comprises a top and a bottom; wherein said at least one of said plurality of bladders further comprises at least a first and a second chamber in between said top and said bottom; wherein said first chamber is filled with a first filler; wherein said second chamber is filled with a second filler; wherein said top comprises at least a first and a second functional outer surfaces; wherein said bottom comprises at least a first and a second functional outer surfaces; wherein all of said functional outer surfaces have physical characteristics different from each other; wherein at least one of said chambers comprises at least one baffle which controls flow of at least one of said fillers.

2 . The footwear product of claim 1 , wherein said first filler and said second filler have different densities.

3 . The footwear product of claim 1 , wherein said at least one baffle is a permeable membrane.

4 . The footwear product of claim 1 , wherein at least one of said functional outer surfaces comprises a non-woven fiber with a hardness of approximately 0-70 measured on the Shore Durometer Scale O.

5 . The footwear product of claim 1 , wherein said at least one of said plurality of bladders further comprises an arch support.

6 . The footwear product of claim 1 , wherein said at least one of said plurality of bladders further comprises an affixing mechanism which affixes said at least one of said plurality of bladders with said footwear.

7 . The footwear product of claim 1 , wherein at least one of said functional outer surfaces comprises a bactericide.

8 . The footwear product of claim 1 , wherein said at least one of said plurality of bladders further comprises a third chamber filled with a third filler, a third functional outer surface on said top, and a third functional outer surface on said bottom.

         9 . A footwear product comprising:
at least one bladder; wherein said at least one bladder comprises a plurality of chambers, a top and a bottom; wherein at least one of said plurality of chambers is filled with at least one filler; wherein said top comprises at least two functional outer surfaces which are separate from one another and wherein said bottom comprises at least two functional outer surfaces which are separate from one another; wherein said at least one bladder further comprises at least one baffle which controls flow of said at least one filler.

10 . The footwear product according to claim 9 , wherein said at least one bladder is reversibly placeable inside said footwear.

11 . The footwear product according to claim 9 , wherein said at least one bladder comprises a longitudinal axis, and wherein said at least one baffle is placed at an angle relative to said longitudinal axis.

12 . The footwear product according to claim 9 , wherein said at least one bladder further comprising multiple baffles which are at different angles from one another.

13 . The footwear product according to claim 9 , wherein said at least one baffle is a permeable membrane.

14 . The footwear product according to claim 9 , further comprising an upper, at least one footbed, an outsole and at least one spacer.

15 . The footwear product according to claim 14 , further comprising at least one insole.

16 . The footwear product according to claim 9 , further comprising an upper, at least one sockling, at least one cushion, and an outsole.

         17 . A footwear product comprising:
a sole; an upper; a bladder; wherein said bladder is filled with at least one filler; wherein said bladder comprising a top and a bottom; wherein said top comprises at least two functional outer surfaces which are separate from one another; wherein said bottom comprises at least two functional outer surfaces which are separate from one another; wherein all of said functional outer surfaces have physical characteristics different from each other; wherein said bladder further comprises at least one baffle which controls flow of said at least one filler.

18 . The footwear product according to claim 17 , wherein said upper, said bladder. and said sole are all sewn together.
