The at least one first section includes a power supply, the power supply being configured to be selectively electrically connected to a heater, the power supply and the heater being in an electrical circuit, and a grounding connection configured to selectively ground the electrical circuit and complete the electrical circuit.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

1 . At least one first section of an e-vaping device, comprising:
a power supply, the power supply being configured to be selectively electrically connected to a heater, the power supply and the heater being in an electrical circuit; and a grounding connection configured to selectively ground the electrical circuit and complete the electrical circuit.

2 . The at least one first section of claim 1 , wherein the grounding connection includes a ground terminal and a grounding element.

3 . The at least one first section of claim 2 , wherein the grounding connection is further configured to selectively electrically connect the ground terminal to the grounding element to selectively complete the electrical circuit.

4 . The at least one first section of claim 3 , wherein the grounding connection further includes a ground wire connected to the ground terminal, at least one first portion of the ground wire being made from a resilient material that provides a spring force, the grounding connection being further configured such that the at least one first portion of the ground wire is biased to extend toward the ground terminal.

5 . The at least one first section of claim 4 , wherein the grounding connection further includes an insulator, at least one second portion of the insulator is between the ground wire and the grounding element, an end of the insulator extending outside of the section.

6 . The at least one first section of claim 5 , wherein the grounding connection is further configured such that the insulator is removable from the at least one first section to simultaneously cause the ground wire to contact the grounding element and complete the electrical circuit, the at least one second portion being made from a non-electrically conductive material.

7 . The at least one first section of claim 3 , wherein the grounding connection further includes an insulator, at least one first portion of the insulator is between the ground terminal and the grounding element, an end of the insulator extending outside of the at least one first section.

8 . The at least one first section of claim 7 , wherein the grounding connection is further configured such that the insulator is removable from the at least one first section to complete the electrical circuit, the at least one first portion being made from a non-electrically conductive material.

9 . The at least one first section of claim 1 , wherein the grounding connection includes a first electrical element and a second electrical element in the electrical circuit, the grounding connection being further configured such that the first electrical element and the second electrical element are selectively electrically connectable to each other.

10 . The at least one first section of claim 9 , wherein the grounding connection is further configured such that the first electrical element is biased to extend toward the second electrical element.

11 . The at least one first section of claim 10 , wherein at least one first portion of the first electrical element is made from a resilient material that provides a spring force, the grounding connection being further configured such that the at least one first portion of the first electrical element is biased to extend toward the second electrical element.

12 . The at least one first section of claim 11 , wherein the grounding connection further includes an insulator, at least one second portion of the insulator is between the first electrical element and the second electrical element, an end of the insulator extending outside of the at least one first section.

13 . The at least one first section of claim 12 , wherein the grounding connection is further configured such that the insulator is removable from the at least one first section to simultaneously cause the first electrical element to contact the second electrical element and complete the electrical circuit, the at least one second portion being made from a non-electrically conductive material.

14 . The at least one first section of claim 9 , wherein the first electrical element and the second electrical element are both electrically conductive and electrically passive elements.

15 . The at least one first section of claim 14 , wherein the first electrical element is a ground wire and the second electrical element is a grounding element.

16 . The at least one first section of claim 15 , wherein the grounding element is a housing of the at least one first section.

17 . The at least one first section of claim 1 , further comprising:
control circuitry, the control circuitry being configured to cause the power supply to send an electrical current to the heater if the control circuitry senses an airflow in the at least one first section, the control circuitry being in the electrical circuit.

18 . The at least one first section of claim 1 , wherein the grounding connection is further configured such that
the grounding connection includes a first mode where the electrical circuit is not grounded and the at least one first section is disabled from operational use, and the grounding connection includes a second mode where the electrical circuit is grounded and the at least one first section is enabled for operational use.

         19 . An e-vaping device, comprising:
the at least one first section of claim 1 , the at least one first section including
a first section including the power supply and the grounding connection, and
a second section including the heater, the first section being configured to be selectively connected to the second section.
