Abstract
A flat-shaped tobacco article defines a pair of parallel outer surfaces, at least one of the outer surfaces being intended to be heated by a flat heater of an aerosol generating device; the flat-shaped tobacco article including: a substrate layer including tobacco substrate; and at least one retainer layer in contact with a side of the substrate layer and including an agent retainer impregnated with a vapour forming agent; the layers being arranged parallel to the outer surfaces.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A flat-shaped tobacco article defining a pair of parallel outer surfaces, at least one of the outer surfaces heatable by a flat heater of an aerosol generating device;
the flat-shaped tobacco article comprising: a substrate layer comprising tobacco substrate; at least one retainer layer in contact with a side of the substrate layer and comprising an agent retainer impregnated with a vapour forming agent, the at least one retainer layer comprising only agent retainer impregnated with vapour forming agent, the agent retainer not comprising any tobacco or nicotine containing substrate; the substrate layer and the at least one retainer layer being arranged parallel to the outer surfaces.
2 . The flat-shaped tobacco article according to claim 1 , wherein the agent retainer is at least one of:
unwoven fabric; cotton; or paper.
3 . The flat-shaped tobacco article according to claim 1 , wherein the vapour forming agent is at least one of:
polyol; glycol; monohydric alcohols; acid; esters; or any mixture thereof.
4 . The flat-shaped tobacco article according to claim 1 , wherein the at least one retainer layer extends along the whole side of the substrate layer.
5 . The flat-shaped tobacco article according to claim 1 , wherein the at least one retainer layer includes two retainer layers.
6 . The flat-shaped tobacco article according to claim 5 , wherein the two retainer layers are in contact with either side of the substrate layer.
7 . The flat-shaped tobacco article according to claim 5 , wherein the two retainer layers have different thicknesses.
8 . The flat-shaped tobacco article according to claim 5 , wherein the two retainer layers comprise different vapour forming agents.
9 . The flat-shaped tobacco article according to claim 8 , wherein sid the different vapour forming agents have a difference in response time while being heated, the vapour forming agents requiring different time to provide vapour generation.
10 . The flat-shaped tobacco article according to claim 5 , wherein the two retainer layers comprise different agent retainers.
11 . The flat-shaped tobacco article according to claim 1 , further comprising a filter part arranged in extension of the substrate layer and the at least one retainer layer.
12 . The flat-shaped tobacco article according to claim 1 , further comprising a wrapper wrapping the substrate layer and the at least one retainer layer together.
13 . An aerosol generating assembly comprising:
an aerosol generating device comprising a flat heater; the flat-shaped tobacco article according to claim 1 configured to be heated by the flat heater to generate aerosol.
14 . An-The aerosol generating assembly according to claim 13 , wherein the at least one retainer layer are arranged to form different distances until the flat heater.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
