Prosthetic hairpiece and headwear integrated apparatus

Abstract

A prosthetic hairpiece and headwear integrated apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus may include a headwear portion and a prosthetic hair portion. The headwear portion may include an inner surface, and an outer surface opposite to the inner surface. The headwear portion may further include a first fastening member and a second fastening member disposed at the inner headwear surface, and one over another. The first fastening member and the second fastening member may include a first strip of fastening elements and a second strip of fastening elements, respectively. Further, the prosthetic hair portion may include a plurality of hair strands that may include a third fastening member disposed at a proximate end of the prosthetic hair portion. The first strip of fastening elements and the second strip of fastening elements may removably couple with the third fastening member of the hair strands.

That which is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A prosthetic hairpiece and headwear integrated apparatus comprising:
 a headwear portion comprising:
 an inner surface; 
 an outer surface opposite to the inner surface; and 
 a first fastening member disposed at the inner surface, wherein the first fastening member comprises a first strip of fastening elements; 
 a second fastening member disposed at the inner surface, wherein the second fastening member comprises a second strip of fastening elements, 
 wherein the first fastening member and the second fastening member are disposed one over another; and 
   a prosthetic hair portion comprising a plurality of hair strands having a proximate end and a distal end,
 wherein the plurality of hair strands comprises a third fastening member disposed at the proximate end to removably attach with the first fastening member and the second fastening member. 
   
     
     
         2 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the headwear portion comprises a proximate end and a distal end. 
     
     
         3 . The apparatus of  claim 2 , wherein the first fastening member is placed near the distal end of the headwear portion, and the second fastening member is placed near the proximate end of the headwear portion. 
     
     
         4 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the first fastening member and the second fastening member are disposed at a predetermined distance from each other. 
     
     
         5 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the first strip of fastening elements and the second strip of fastening elements comprise a same type of fastening elements. 
     
     
         6 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the first strip of fastening elements and the second strip of fastening elements comprise hooks, and the third fastening member comprises eyes. 
     
     
         7 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the first strip of fastening elements and the second strip of fastening elements comprise grommet, and the third fastening member comprises metal loops. 
     
     
         8 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the first strip of fastening elements, the second strip of fastening elements and the third fastening member comprise a snap button arrangement. 
     
     
         9 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the first strip of fastening elements, the second strip of fastening elements and the third fastening member comprise a book and loop arrangement. 
     
     
         10 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the first strip of fastening elements, the second strip of fastening elements and the third fastening member comprise a button loop arrangement. 
     
     
         11 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the first strip of fastening elements and the second strip of fastening elements comprise a magnetic portion, and the third fastening member comprises a ferrous metal portion. 
     
     
         12 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the first strip of fastening elements and the second strip of fastening elements comprise different types of fastening elements. 
     
     
         13 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the first strip of fastening elements is disposed at a first portion of the first fastening member, and the second strip of fastening elements is disposed at a second portion of the second fastening member. 
     
     
         14 . The apparatus of  claim 13 , wherein a length of the first portion is greater than a length of the second portion. 
     
     
         15 . The apparatus of  claim 1 , wherein the first fastening member comprises at least one first additional strip of fastening elements, and the second fastening member comprises at least one second additional strip of fastening elements. 
     
     
         16 . A prosthetic hairpiece and headwear integrated apparatus comprising:
 a headwear portion comprising:
 an inner surface; 
 an outer surface opposite to the inner surface; and 
 a first fastening member disposed at the inner surface, wherein the first fastening member comprises a first plurality of strips of fastening elements, and wherein the first plurality of strips of fastening elements are disposed adjacent to each other and one over another; 
 a second fastening member disposed at the inner surface, wherein the second fastening member comprises a second plurality of strips of fastening elements, and wherein the second plurality of strips of fastening elements are disposed adjacent to each other and one over another, 
 wherein the first fastening member and the second fastening member are disposed one over another and at a predetermined distance from each other; and 
   a prosthetic hair portion comprising a plurality of hair strands having a proximate end and a distal end,
 wherein the plurality of hair strands comprises a third fastening member disposed at the proximate end to removably attach with the first fastening member and the second fastening member. 
   
     
     
         17 . The apparatus of  claim 16 , wherein each strip of the first plurality of strips of fastening elements comprises a different type of fastening element. 
     
     
         18 . The apparatus of  claim 16 , wherein each strip of the second plurality of strips of fastening elements comprises a different type of fastening element. 
     
     
         19 . The apparatus of  claim 16 , wherein the first plurality of strips of fastening elements is disposed at a first portion of the first fastening member, and the second plurality of strips of fastening elements is disposed at a second portion of the second fastening member. 
     
     
         20 . The apparatus of  claim 19 , wherein a length of the first portion is greater than a length of the second portion.
