Drinking apparatus with vaporizer compartment
Abstract
A drinking apparatus for receiving a vaporizer device includes a first housing and a second housing. The first housing includes a cap having a handle coupled thereto and a latch disposed on a lower surface of the cap. The second housing includes an aperture, a drinking spout, a docking port, and a vaporizer locking mechanism. The aperture is formed in an upper surface of the second housing and is configured to engage the latch. The drinking spout is in fluid communication with a container. The docking port is defined in the second housing and is configured to receive a vaporizer device. The docking port includes a vaporizer locking mechanism operably associated with the docking port and configured to releasably couple the vaporizer device to the docking port.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A drinking apparatus for receiving a vaporizer device, the drinking apparatus comprising:
a first housing including a cap, the cap having a handle coupled thereto and a latch disposed on a lower surface of the cap; and a second housing, including:
an aperture formed in an upper surface of the second housing, the aperture configured to engage the latch;
a drinking spout in fluid communication with a container;
a docking port defined in the second housing and configured to receive a vaporizer device; and
a vaporizer locking mechanism operably associated with the docking port and configured to releasably engage the vaporizer device within the docking port.
2 . The drinking apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the vaporizer locking mechanism includes at least one of a twist lock or a compression spring.
3 . The drinking apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the vaporizer device includes a safety lock, and wherein the safety lock is disengaged by mechanically rotating an upper housing and a lower housing of the vaporizer device.
4 . The drinking apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the handle is coupled to the cap by a first pivot hinge, the first pivot hinge configured to pivot the handle about a first axis defined by a first pivot pin.
5 . The drinking apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the first housing is coupled to the second housing by a second pivot hinge, the second pivot hinge configured to pivot the first housing about a second axis defined by a second pivot pin.
6 . The drinking apparatus of claim 5 , wherein engaging the latch to the aperture transitions the drinking apparatus to a first state, and disengaging the latch from the aperture transitions the drinking apparatus to a second state.
7 . The drinking apparatus of claim 6 , wherein in the first state, the first housing is coupled to the second housing, and wherein in the second state, the first housing is disengaged from the second housing, enabling the cap to pivot about the second axis.
8 . The drinking apparatus of claim 1 , further comprising a release button assembly configured to release a liquid from the container, including:
a release button; and a compression spring configured to bias the release button towards a disengaged position.
9 . The drinking apparatus of claim 8 , wherein the release button is a sliding latch.
10 . The drinking apparatus of claim 1 , further comprising a third housing comprising the container, wherein the third housing includes a first plurality of threads configured to mate with a second plurality of threads formed in the second housing, and wherein first plurality of threads are formed in an outer surface of the third housing.
11 . A drinking system, comprising:
a vaporizer device, including:
an upper portion having a mouthpiece;
a lower portion including a power source; and
a safety mechanism for activating the vaporizer device;
a drinking apparatus, including:
a cap having a latch disposed on a lower surface thereof;
a housing, including:
an aperture defined in the housing and configured to engage the latch;
a drinking spout in fluid communication with a container;
a docking port defined in the housing and configured to receive to the vaporizer device therein; and
a spout deployment mechanism configured to extend the drinking spout through the cap, enabling consumption of liquid by a user.
12 . The drinking system of claim 11 , further comprising a second cap disposed on the drinking spout.
13 . The drinking system of claim 11 , wherein the vaporizer device is permanently coupled to the docking port.
14 . The drinking apparatus of claim 11 , further comprising a release button assembly, including:
a sliding latch; and a compression spring configured to bias the sliding latch towards a disengaged position.
15 . The drinking apparatus of claim 11 , wherein the spout deployment mechanism includes at least one of a twist mechanism or a compression spring.
16 . The drinking apparatus of claim 11 , wherein the safety mechanism is disengaged by mechanically rotating the upper portion and the lower portion of the vaporizer device.
17 . The drinking apparatus of claim 11 , wherein the cap is coupled to the housing by a pivot hinge, the pivot hinge configured to pivot the cap about an axis defined by a pivot pin.
18 . The drinking apparatus of claim 17 , wherein engaging the latch to the aperture transitions the drinking apparatus to a first state, and disengaging the latch from the aperture transitions the drinking apparatus to a second state.
19 . The drinking apparatus of claim 18 , wherein in the first state, the cap is coupled to the housing, and wherein in the second state, the cap is disengaged from the housing, enabling the cap to pivot about the axis.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
