Abstract

A method includes obtaining image data of an anomaly in a vessel, generating a model of a bioimplant based on the image data and forming the bioimplant based on the model, wherein the bioimplant generally corresponds in dimension to the anomaly. The method may include introducing the bioimplant in the anomaly.

1 . A method, comprising:
 obtaining image data of an anomaly in a vessel;   generating a model of a bioimplant based on the image data; and   forming the bioimplant based on the model;   wherein the bioimplant generally corresponds in dimension to the anomaly.   
     
     
         2 . The method according to  claim 1  further including introducing the bioimplant in the anomaly. 
     
     
         3 . The method according to  claim 2  wherein the anomaly is an outpouching in an organ and wherein implanting the bioimplant includes at least partially positioning the bioimplant within the outpouching. 
     
     
         4 . The method according to  claim 3  wherein the outpouching is an aneurysm sac. 
     
     
         5 . The method according to  claim 1  wherein introducing the bioimplant includes mounting the bioimplant relative to at least one delivery device. 
     
     
         6 . The method according to  claim 5  wherein the at least one delivery device includes a catheter dimensioned for intravascular application. 
     
     
         7 . The method according to  claim 6  including positioning at least one marker on the bioimplant. 
     
     
         8 . The method according to  claim 7  including utilizing the marker to orient the bioimplant relative to the aneurysm sac. 
     
     
         9 . The method according to  claim 8  wherein:
 obtaining image data comprises collecting data of a physical reference of the aneurysm sac; and 
 positioning the at least one marker includes arranging the marker to coincide with the physical reference and aligning the marker with the physical reference of the aneurysm sac.

         12 . The method according to  claim 2  wherein the bioimplant comprises one of a mesh structure or pouch.

         15 . The method according to  claim 2  wherein the bioimplant comprises a hydrogel coating. 
     
     
         16 . A bioimplant for insertion a vessel, comprising:
 an implant member configured and dimensioned to correspond to a particular anatomy in a vessel, the implant member defining at least one of a size or shape determined at least in part on imaging data obtained of the anatomy.   
     
     
         17 . The bioimplant of  claim 16  wherein the implant member is configured and dimensioned to correspond to a dimension of an anomaly in a vessel, the at least one of a size or shape of the implant member determined at least in part on pre-procedural imaging data obtained of the anomaly. 
     
     
         18 . The bioimplant of  claim 16  wherein the implant member is configured and dimensioned to correspond to a dimension of an outpouching in a vessel, the at least one of a size or shape of the implant member determined at least in part on pre-procedural imaging data obtained of the outpouching. 
     
     
         19 . The bioimplant of  claim 16  wherein the implant member is configured and dimensioned to correspond to a dimension of an aneurysm sac in a vessel, the at least one of a size or shape of the implant member determined at least in part on pre-procedural imaging data obtained of the aneurysm sac.

         21 . The bioimplant of claim  20  including one or more markers positioned on the implant member based at least in part on pre-procedural image data obtained of physical references associated with the anomaly.

         25 . The bioimplant of  claim 17  wherein the implant member is custom made to optimally configure to a particular anatomy in a particular patient, using pre-procedural imaging to guide the customized size and shape of the device.
