Amateur Sports Statistic and Tracking System

Abstract

Disclosed herein is a system for providing analytics for non-professional sporting activities wherein an end user device is configured for bidirectional electronic communication with a server platform over one or more communication networks, the end user device configured to receive end user input data related to participants in non-professional sporting activities and/or events, communicate those end user input data to the server platform, and receive and display analysis data based at least partially on those end user input data, and the server platform configured to receive end user input data, store end user input data, arrange end user input data according to one or more data categories; analyze end user input data according to one or more analysis categories to produce analysis data.

We claim: 
     
         1 . A system for providing analytics for non-professional sporting activities, comprising:
 an end user device configured for bidirectional electronic communication with a server platform over one or more communication networks;   the end user device configured to receive end user input data related to participants in non-professional sporting activities and/or events, communicate those end user input data to the server platform, and receive and display analysis data based at least partially on those end user input data;   the server platform configured to receive end user input data, store end user input data, arrange end user input data according to one or more data categories; analyze end user input data according to one or more analysis categories to produce analysis data, store the analysis data, and communicate the analysis data to one or more end user devices, wherein the non-professional sporting activities consist of rule-based amateur athletic activities undertaken by participants in the absence of compensated oversight, or a governing body.   
     
     
         2 . The system of  claim 1 , wherein the end user input data comprises:
 a team's final scores;   a team's averages for a particular activity;   a participant's scoring event;   a participant's average for conducting a particular activity;   a participant's total score for a define period of time;   a team's wins and loses;   an identity of a participant;   a geographic location of a particular amateur athletic activity;   a duration of a particular amateur athletic activity;   a team name;   a team affiliation,   a participant's identification marker;   biometric sensor data;   a selection of a collection of particular participants for a non-professional fantasy team;   or a combination thereof.   
     
     
         3 . The system of  claim 1 , wherein the end user input data comprises face recognition, wherein the end user input data comprises geographic location comprising GPS location provided by the end user device, or a combination thereof. 
     
     
         4 . The system of  claim 1 , wherein at least one end user input data is automatically provided by the end user device without requiring any action by an end user. 
     
     
         5 . The system of  claim 1 , wherein a presence of at least one participant in the sporting activity is provided by a corresponding player identification marker unique to the at least one participant. 
     
     
         6 . The system of  claim 1 , wherein the analysis data comprises ranking of individuals participating in a non-professional organized league;
 ranking of teams participating in a non-professional organized league;   ranking of individuals participating in non-professional, non-organized sporting events;   ranking of individuals by sporting activity, based on a plurality of individuals participating in the same sporting activity;   ranking of a fantasy team based on an end-user selection of individuals participating in the same sporting activity in a plurality of separate non-professional sporting events;   or a combination thereof.   
     
     
         7 . The system of  claim 1 , wherein the one or more data categories comprise:
 team information;   participant identification;   team totals based on one or more criteria;   team averages based on one or more criteria;   team ranking based on one or more criteria and a plurality of other teams;   individual totals based on one or more criteria;   individual averages based on one or more criteria;   individual ranking based on one or more criteria and a plurality of other individuals;   or a combination thereof.   
     
     
         8 . The system of  claim 1 , wherein the server platform is configured to:
 aggregate a multiplicity of end user data inputs;   correlate each of the multiplicity of end user data inputs with one or more corresponding criteria;   integrate the multiplicity of end user data inputs into existing analyzed data;   store the analyzed data;   output the analyzed data to one or more end users;   or a combination thereof.   
     
     
         9 . The system of  claim 1 , wherein at least one end user has access to the system via a fee-based subscription. 
     
     
         10 . The system of  claim 1 , wherein at least a portion of the end user input data is provided by a radio-frequency identification (RFID) tracking tag, a Bluetooth transmitter, an accelerometer, video data, or a combination thereof. 
     
     
         11 . The system of  claim 1 , wherein the server platform is configured to integrate with one or more social media data feeds; extract data from the one or more social media data feeds related to a sporting activity and/or a sporting event, and provide these data for display on the end user device in combination with the social media data feeds. 
     
     
         12 . The system of  claim 1 , wherein the server platform is configured to provide a third party analytics provider with licensed access to the end user data, the analyzed data, or both, and wherein the third party analytics provider is operable to generate complementary analytic data independent from the server platform. 
     
     
         13 . The system of  claim 1 , wherein the end user data is provided by at least one sensor operable to capture environmental data, biometric data, or both. 
     
     
         14 . The system of  claim 1 , wherein the server platform is configured to allow an end user or a combination of end users to create a fantasy league and each select a fantasy team based on an end-user selection of individuals participating in the same sporting activity in a plurality of separate non-professional sporting events. 
     
     
         15 . The system of  claim 1 , wherein the system is configured to allow an end user or a combination of end users to place and track wagers based on an outcome of at least a portion of a particular sporting event. 
     
     
         16 . The system of  claim 1 , wherein server platform is configured to sort, analyze and provide analysis data to an external user based on selected criteria provided by the external user. 
     
     
         17 . The system of  claim 1 , wherein the server platform is a centralized server platform and/or, wherein the server platform comprises a plurality of server platforms dispersed over one or more geographical areas. 
     
     
         18 . The system of  claim 1 , wherein the server platform is configured to provide at least a portion of the end user data and analysis data for use by a third party for commercial purposes associated with a name, likeness and/or image of a particular end user according to one or more previously determined criteria. 
     
     
         19 . The system of  claim 18 , wherein the at least a portion of the previously determined criteria is determined by the particular end user. 
     
     
         20 . The system of  claim 1 , configured to allow a third party to request a private communication with a particular end user for commercial purposes associated with a name, likeness and/or image of the particular end user, and further configured to allow the particular end user to accept or deny the request for the private communication.
